YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access

WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
A. Installation of the Thrust Reverser Ground-Straps NOTE: The following procedure is for the installation of the ground strap on the left thrust-reverser cowl-door. The ground strap installation procedure is the same for the right thrust-reverser cowl-door.
(1) Clean the pylon bracket with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) or equivalent. Clean the thrust reverser surface with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) or equivalent. Remove the alcohol with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) before it dries. (2) Attach the ground strap (3) to the thrust reverser with the screw (5) and the washer (4).
(3) TORQUE the screw (5) to between 157.54 and 122.14 lbf.in (1.78 and 1.38 m.daN )
. (4) Attach the ground strap (3) to the pylon with the screw (2) and the washer (1).
(5) TORQUE screw (2) to between 126.55 and 97.35 lbf.in (1.43 and 1.10 m.daN )
. B. Check Electrical bonding
(1) Measure the resistance between the ground strap lug and a no protected surface on the pylon with an OHMMETER MULTIRANGE.
(a) Make sure that the resistance value (Ohmic) is not more than 0.5 milliohms.
(2) Measure the resistance between the ground strap lug and a no protected surface on the thrust reverser cowl with an OHMMETER MULTIRANGE.
(a) Make sure that the resistance value (Ohmic) is not more than 0.5 milliohms.
5. Close-up(1) Measure the resistance between the ground strap lug and a no protected surface on the pylon with an OHMMETER MULTIRANGE.
(a) Make sure that the resistance value (Ohmic) is not more than 0.5 milliohms.
(2) Measure the resistance between the ground strap lug and a no protected surface on the thrust reverser cowl with an OHMMETER MULTIRANGE.
(a) Make sure that the resistance value (Ohmic) is not more than 0.5 milliohms.
