A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:

The ENG/MODE selector switch
The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.

(2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

Special Detailed Inspection of Thrust Reverser, Forward (FWD) Vee Blade

NOTE: You can use a LIGHT SOURCE - INSPECTION and a MIRROR - INSPECTION.for the inspection.

NOTE: This procedure is given for the left thrust reverser. It is also applicable to the right thrust reverser.

(1) Cleaning of the inspection area.
(a) Clean the inspection area with a LINT-FREE COTTON CLOTH (Material No.CPNCL02069) made moist with a GENERAL CLEANING AGENT - MULTI PURPOSE (Material No.CPNCL02589) .
(2) Do an eddy current inspection on the two ends of the vee-blade for cracks with a lenght greater than or equal to 3 mm (0.12 in.), refer to NTM manual, NTM 511008.

(a) If you find cracks, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
