A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 78-32-00-010-175-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 78-32-00-010-177-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for nacelle maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807). D. Get Access
(1) Manually deploy the translating cowl (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-50-010-801).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
4. Procedure(1) Manually deploy the translating cowl (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-50-010-801).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
Subtask 78-32-00-220-059-A
A. Detailed Inspection of the Thrust Reverser, Aft Frame to Beam Junctions
(2) Clean the inspection area with the GENERAL CLEANING AGENT - MULTI PURPOSE (Material No.CPNCL02589) and a LINT-FREE COTTON CLOTH (Material No.CPNCL02069) , if necessary.
(3) Do the detailed inspection of the left upper aft frame (1) to the beam junction:
(a) Do the detailed inspection of the 12 o'clock beam (2).
(b) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion damage:
1 If you find signs of corrosion damage, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
(c) Make sure that there are no signs of other damage (cracks, nicks, scratches, gouges, marks or dents):
1 If you find signs of damage (nicks, scratches, gouges or edge dents), refer to NSRM 543054.
2 If you find signs of damage (cracks, marks or dents), contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
(4) Do the detailed inspection of the left lower aft frame (1) to the beam junction:
(a) Do the detailed inspection of the 6 o'clock beam (3).
(b) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion damage:
1 If you find signs of corrosion damage, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
(c) Make sure that there are no signs of other damage (cracks, nicks, scratches, gouges, marks or dents):
1 If you find signs of damage (nicks, scratches, gouges or edge dents), refer to NSRM 543055.
2 If you find signs of damage (cracks, marks or dents), contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
5. Close-upNOTE: This procedure is given for the left thrust reverser. It is also applicable to the right thrust reverser.
NOTE: You can use the MAGNIFYING GLASS POWER 10X and the LIGHT SOURCE - HIGHPOWER.
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do the inspection satisfactorily as per the specified inspection standards. (2) Clean the inspection area with the GENERAL CLEANING AGENT - MULTI PURPOSE (Material No.CPNCL02589) and a LINT-FREE COTTON CLOTH (Material No.CPNCL02069) , if necessary.
(3) Do the detailed inspection of the left upper aft frame (1) to the beam junction:
(a) Do the detailed inspection of the 12 o'clock beam (2).
(b) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion damage:
1 If you find signs of corrosion damage, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.

1 If you find signs of corrosion damage, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
(c) Make sure that there are no signs of other damage (cracks, nicks, scratches, gouges, marks or dents):
1 If you find signs of damage (nicks, scratches, gouges or edge dents), refer to NSRM 543055.
2 If you find signs of damage (cracks, marks or dents), contact SAFRAN Nacelles.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Manually stow the translating cowl (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-50-410-801).
