A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for nacelle maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807).

4. Procedure
Subtask 78-32-00-210-110-A
A. General Visual Inspection of Thrust Reverser 6 O'clock Latches Structure Left Hand (LH)/Right Hand (RH)

NOTE: You can use for inspection a LIGHT SOURCE - INSPECTION and a MIRROR - INSPECTION.
   (1) Do a general visual inspection of the latches (1) (8 positions):
     (a) Examine the condition of each hooks (2) (8 positions).
     (b) Make sure that there are no signs of cracks, scratches or dents.
       1 If external damages are found, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
   (2) Do a general visual inspection of the surrounding latch-fitting forward-frame (3):
     (a) Examine the condition of each surrounding latch-fitting forward-frame (3).
     (b) Make sure that there are no signs of cracks, scratches or dents.
       1 If external damages are found, refer to SRM manual NSRM 543056.
   (3) Do a general visual inspection of the surrounding 6 o'clock beam (4) at the latches areas (3 positions):
     (a) Examine the condition of each surrounding 6 o'clock beam (4) at the latches areas (3 positions).
     (b) Make sure that there are no signs of cracks, scratches or dents.
       1 If external damages are found, refer to SRM manual NSRM 543055.
   (4) Do a general visual inspection of the surrounding latch-fitting ACC (5):
     (a) Examine the condition of each surrounding latch-fitting ACC (5).
     (b) Make sure that there are no signs of cracks, scratches or dents.
       1 If external damages are found, refer to SRM manual NSRM 543053.
   (5) Do a general visual inspection of the keepers (6) (8 positions):
     (a) Examine the condition of each keepers (6) (8 positions).
     (b) Make sure that there are no signs of cracks, scratches or dents.
       1 If external damages are found, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
   (6) Do a general visual inspection of the surrounding keeper fittings (7) (8 positions):
     (a) Examine the condition of each surrounding keeper fittings (7) (8 positions).
     (b) Make sure that there are no signs of cracks, scratches or dents.
       1 If external damages are found, contact SAFRAN Nacelles.
