A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

C. Make that the thrust reverser is unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

A. Installation of the Electrical Junction Box

NOTE: Apply a witness line of finish paint EA4 blue 5991 (Material No.CP2245) on all the nuts and connections after they are torqued.

(1) Remove the protective covers from the electrical connectors.
(2) Attach the electrical junction box to the bracket with the bolts.
(3) TORQUE the bolts to between 80 and 70 lbf.in (0.90 and 0.79 m.daN )

(4) Connect the right electrical harness connector to the electrical junction box.
(5) Connect the electrical connectors (4100KS-A and 4100KS-B) to the electrical junction box.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040):

(3) Remove the access platform(s).

C. Close Access
(1) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

D. Operational test
(1) Do an operational test of the thrust reverser system from the CFDS (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-042).

NOTE: As an alternative procedure, you can do this operational test without the CFDS:

First method with the engine not running (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-043)
Second method with the engine running (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-043).
