(2) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring and to stop the electrical supply to the Electronic Engine Control (EEC)

E. Removal for Access
(1) Remove the Multipurpose Control and Display Units (MCDUs) (3CA1, 3CA2) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-82-12-000-001).
(2) Remove the Radio Management Panels (RMPs) (1RG1, 1RG2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-000-001).
(3) Remove the Audio Control Panels (ACPs) (2RN1, 2RN2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-12-000-001).
(4) Remove the weather radar control unit (3SQ) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-41-12-000-001).
(5) Remove the ATC/TCAS control unit (3SH) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-52-12-000-001).
(6) Remove the FLOOD LT/INTEG LT panel 111VU and the FLOOD LT panel 112VU.
(b) Disconnect the connector (3) from the panel (1).
(c) Remove the panel (1).
(d) Put CAP - BLANKING on the connectors (2) and (3).
(7) Remove the screws (7).
(8) Remove the ventilation plates (8).
(9) Disconnect the clamps (9).
(10) Remove the screws (6) and the washers (5).
(11) Remove the plates (4) and (10).
(12) Remove the pitch-trim control mechanism (Ref. AMM TASK 27-41-41-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Remove the Multipurpose Control and Display Units (MCDUs) (3CA1, 3CA2) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-82-12-000-001).
(2) Remove the Radio Management Panels (RMPs) (1RG1, 1RG2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-000-001).
(3) Remove the Audio Control Panels (ACPs) (2RN1, 2RN2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-12-000-001).
(4) Remove the weather radar control unit (3SQ) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-41-12-000-001).
(5) Remove the ATC/TCAS control unit (3SH) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-52-12-000-001).
(6) Remove the FLOOD LT/INTEG LT panel 111VU and the FLOOD LT panel 112VU.
NOTE: The removal procedure is the same for the FLOOD LT/INTEG LT panel 111VU and the FLOOD LT panel 112VU.
(a) Release the fasteners of the panel (1) and disengage the panel (1) from its housing. (b) Disconnect the connector (3) from the panel (1).
(c) Remove the panel (1).
(d) Put CAP - BLANKING on the connectors (2) and (3).
(7) Remove the screws (7).
(8) Remove the ventilation plates (8).
(9) Disconnect the clamps (9).
(10) Remove the screws (6) and the washers (5).
(11) Remove the plates (4) and (10).
(12) Remove the pitch-trim control mechanism (Ref. AMM TASK 27-41-41-000-001).

B. Removal of the Throttle Control Lever Assembly
(1) Remove and discard the two cotter pins (30).
(2) Remove the two nuts (31), washers (32) and bolts (34). Make sure that the two bushes (33) stay bonded.
(3) Remove the links.
(4) Remove the two screws (23) and the index (22).
(5) Remove the two screws (14) and the index (16).
(6) Remove the screw (28) and the hollow pin (24).
(7) Drive out the pin (26). Remove the link (25) and the trigger (27).
(8) Remove the two screws (15) and hollow pins (13).
(9) Remove the lever (29). To do this, pull the lever to disconnect the connector located inside, at the lever-to-bellcrank junction.
(10) Remove the lever (12): do the same procedure as for the lever (29).
(11) Remove the five screws (85).
(12) Lift the lighted label (86) and disconnect the connector 21LFA (19).
(13) Remove the lighted label (86).
(14) Remove the three screws (17) and three screws (20).
(15) Remove the housing (18).
(16) Remove and discard the eight cotter pins (43).
(17) Remove the eight nuts (44), washers (45) and screws (46).
(18) Remove the two forward covers (63) and the two aft covers (42).
(19) Remove and discard the cotter pin (72).
(20) Remove the washer (73), the nut (74), the bearing (60), the bushing (61), the screw (64), the bushing (66), the bearing (65) and the link (25).
(21) Drive out the pin (59) and remove the rocker (57).
(22) Remove the screw (76), the washers (78) and (79) and the two clamps (77).
(23) Remove the screws (80), the washers (81) and (83) and the clamps (82).
(24) Disconnect connectors 2145VC and 2146VC.
(25) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(26) Cut and remove the lockwire
(27) Remove the nut (37) and the washer (38).
(28) Pull the shaft (54) smoothly to remove:
(a) The bushing (39)
(b) The bellcrank (41)
(c) The adjustment bushing (49)
(d) The bellcrank (55)
(e) The bushing (53).
(29) Remove the shaft (54).
(30) On the bellcrank (41), remove the ball bearing (40), the spacer (47) and the bearing (48).
(31) On the bellcrank (55), remove the bearing (50), the spacer (51) and the bearing (52).
(1) Remove and discard the two cotter pins (30).
(2) Remove the two nuts (31), washers (32) and bolts (34). Make sure that the two bushes (33) stay bonded.
(3) Remove the links.
(4) Remove the two screws (23) and the index (22).
(5) Remove the two screws (14) and the index (16).
(6) Remove the screw (28) and the hollow pin (24).
(7) Drive out the pin (26). Remove the link (25) and the trigger (27).
(8) Remove the two screws (15) and hollow pins (13).
(9) Remove the lever (29). To do this, pull the lever to disconnect the connector located inside, at the lever-to-bellcrank junction.
(10) Remove the lever (12): do the same procedure as for the lever (29).
(11) Remove the five screws (85).
(12) Lift the lighted label (86) and disconnect the connector 21LFA (19).
(13) Remove the lighted label (86).
(14) Remove the three screws (17) and three screws (20).
(15) Remove the housing (18).
(16) Remove and discard the eight cotter pins (43).
(17) Remove the eight nuts (44), washers (45) and screws (46).
(18) Remove the two forward covers (63) and the two aft covers (42).
(19) Remove and discard the cotter pin (72).
(20) Remove the washer (73), the nut (74), the bearing (60), the bushing (61), the screw (64), the bushing (66), the bearing (65) and the link (25).
(21) Drive out the pin (59) and remove the rocker (57).
(22) Remove the screw (76), the washers (78) and (79) and the two clamps (77).
(23) Remove the screws (80), the washers (81) and (83) and the clamps (82).
(24) Disconnect connectors 2145VC and 2146VC.
(25) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(26) Cut and remove the lockwire
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Cut and remove the lockwire (27) Remove the nut (37) and the washer (38).
(28) Pull the shaft (54) smoothly to remove:
(a) The bushing (39)
(b) The bellcrank (41)
(c) The adjustment bushing (49)
(d) The bellcrank (55)
(e) The bushing (53).
(29) Remove the shaft (54).
(30) On the bellcrank (41), remove the ball bearing (40), the spacer (47) and the bearing (48).
(31) On the bellcrank (55), remove the bearing (50), the spacer (51) and the bearing (52).
