3. Job Set-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

D. Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).
4. Procedure
Subtask 75-31-10-010-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Make sure that the bleed valve fuel gear motor (40) and the VBV stop mechanism (140) are removed as a complete assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 75-31-20-000-002).
   (1) If the gear motor nipples are removed, install the nipples as follows:
     (a) Lightly coat a new AIPC 75-31-10-01-050 O-RING (16) with vaseline (Material No.CP5070) and install on nipple (15). Install the nipple (15) on the forward port of the gear motor (OPEN port) and TORQUE to between 178.5 and 161.5 lbf.in (2.02 and 1.82 m.daN ) T.
     (b) Lightly coat a new
AIPC 75-31-10-01-050 O-RING (16) with vaseline (Material No.CP5070) and install on nipple (15). Install the nipple (15) on the aft port of the gear motor (CLOSE port) and TORQUE to between 178.5 and 161.5 lbf.in (2.02 and 1.82 m.daN ) T.

B. Installation of the Bleed Valve Fuel Gear Motor
   (1) Assemble the fuel gear motor (40) to the stop mechanism (140) as follows:
CAUTION: KEEP THE MOTOR PERPENDICULAR TO THE MOUNTING SURFACE TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE SPLINES, WHEN YOU INSTALL THE BLEED VALVE FUEL GEAR MOTOR ON THE BLEED VALVE STOP MECHANISM.
     (a) Lubricate a new
AIPC 75-31-10-01-040 O-RING (130) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) and install it in the groove of the fuel gear motor housing.
     (b) Engage the fuel gear motor (40) in the bleed valve stop mechanism (140). Align the 4 attachment holes of the fuel gear motor with holes on the stop mechanism mounting baseplate. Make sure that the O-ring (130) remains correctly installed in its groove.
     (c) Lubricate the 4 bolts (100) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) and install them with washers (110). Hand-tighten bolts (100).
     (d) TORQUE the 4 bolts (100) to between 120 and 110 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.24 m.daN ) T.

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the thrust reverser doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040):

   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
