C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Ground Maintenance

YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 75-24-49-420-082-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Installation of the Component Cooling Lines
(1) Install the Active Clearance Control (ACC) hose assembly (1).
(a) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION from the ACC hose assembly (1), ACC scoop and component-cooling tube assembly.
1 Make sure the flow arrow on the hose is in the correct direction
(c) Make sure that the overlap between the ACC hose assembly (1) and the component-cooling tube assembly is a minimum of 1.13 in. (28.7 mm).
(d) Make sure that the overlap between the ACC hose assembly (1) and ACC scoop is a minimum of 1.13 in. (28.7 mm).
(e) Adjust the ACC hose assembly (1) to keep the preload to a minimum.
1 Make sure that there are no kinks in the hose.
(2) Install the Starter Air Valve (SAV) hose assembly (3).
(a) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION from the SAV hose assembly (3), component-cooling tube assembly and SAV.
1 Make sure the flow arrow on the hose is in the correct direction
(c) Make sure that the overlap between the SAV hose assembly (3) and component-cooling tube assembly is a minimum of 1.00 in. (25.4 mm).
(d) Make sure that the overlap between the SAV hose assembly (3) and the SAV is a minimum of 0.875 in. (22.2 mm).
(e) Adjust the SAV hose assembly (3) to keep the preload to a minimum.
1 Make sure that there are no kinks in the hose.
(3) Install the flow-divider-valve hose assembly (5).
(a) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION from the flow-divider-valve hose assembly (5), component-cooling tube assembly and flow divider valve.
1 Make sure the flow arrow on the hose is in the correct direction
(c) Make sure that the overlap between the flow-divider-valve hose assembly (5) and component-cooling tube assembly is a minimum of 1.00 in. (25.4 mm).
(d) Make sure that the overlap between the flow-divider-valve hose assembly (5) and the flow divider valve is a minimum of 1.00 in. (25.4 mm).
Adjust the flow-divider-valve hose assembly (5) to keep the preload to a minimum.
1 Make sure that there are no kinks in the hose.
5. Close-up(1) Install the Active Clearance Control (ACC) hose assembly (1).
(a) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION from the ACC hose assembly (1), ACC scoop and component-cooling tube assembly.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE HOSE DOES NOT TWIST WHEN YOU INSTALL IT. IF THE HOSE TWISTS, THERE WILL BE PRELOAD ON THE HOSE. THIS CAN CAUSE CRACKS OR LEAKS IN THE HOSE.
(b) Attach the ACC hose assembly (1) to the ACC scoop and component-cooling tube assembly with the two clamps (2).1 Make sure the flow arrow on the hose is in the correct direction
(c) Make sure that the overlap between the ACC hose assembly (1) and the component-cooling tube assembly is a minimum of 1.13 in. (28.7 mm).
(d) Make sure that the overlap between the ACC hose assembly (1) and ACC scoop is a minimum of 1.13 in. (28.7 mm).
(e) Adjust the ACC hose assembly (1) to keep the preload to a minimum.
1 Make sure that there are no kinks in the hose.
CAUTION:
DO NOT TIGHTEN THE HOSE CLAMPS TOO MUCH. IF YOU TIGHTEN THEM TOO MUCH, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HOSE CLAMPS OR THE INSULATION COVERS.
(f) Tighten the clamps (2) until they are snug. Do not tighten more than 18 lbf.in (0.20 m.daN).(2) Install the Starter Air Valve (SAV) hose assembly (3).
(a) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION from the SAV hose assembly (3), component-cooling tube assembly and SAV.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE HOSE DOES NOT TWIST WHEN YOU INSTALL IT. IF THE HOSE TWISTS, THERE WILL BE PRELOAD ON THE HOSE. THIS CAN CAUSE CRACKS OR LEAKS IN THE HOSE.
