Subtask 75-23-10-941-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

Subtask 75-23-10-020-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the electrical connections and fuel manifold
(1) Remove the electrical connections of the RACC valve as follows:
(a) Cut and remove the lockwire from the insulation blanket (210) installed on the RACC valve (10).
(b) Open the insulation blanket (210) and disconnect the electrical connectors, Channel A (5) and Channel B (15), from the RACC valve (10). If necessary use PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG to loosen the electrical connectors.
(c) Install CAP - BLANKING on the open ends of the electrical connectors and the RACC valve receptacles.
(2) Remove the fuel manifold as follows:
(a) Remove the bolts (220, 240) and the nuts (230, 250) from the loop clamps (260, 270) that attach the fuel drain manifold (20) to the fuel manifold (60). Then, remove the loop clamps (260, 270).
(b) Put a container below the drain tube coupling nut (30).
(c) Disconnect
(d) Remove the bolts (290, 310) and the nut (280, 320) from the loop clamps (300, 330) that attach the fuel manifold (60) and the fuel drain manifold (20) to the upper bracket and the LPT cooling tube bracket. Then, remove the loop clamps (300).
(e) Remove the bolts (340) and the nuts (350) from the loop clamps (360) that attach the fuel manifold (60) to the VSV drain bracket. Then, remove the clamps (360).
(f) Remove the bolts (370), washers (380) and the nuts (390) that attach the fuel manifold (60) to the lower air tube (50). Then, remove the loop clamps (400, 410).
(g) Put a CONTAINER 20 L - SHALLOW below the fuel manifold (480).
(h) Remove the bolts (430) and the nuts (420), that attach the fuel manifold (60) to the fuel manifold (480).
Subtask 75-23-10-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the electrical connections of the RACC valve as follows:
(a) Cut and remove the lockwire from the insulation blanket (210) installed on the RACC valve (10).
(b) Open the insulation blanket (210) and disconnect the electrical connectors, Channel A (5) and Channel B (15), from the RACC valve (10). If necessary use PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG to loosen the electrical connectors.
(c) Install CAP - BLANKING on the open ends of the electrical connectors and the RACC valve receptacles.
(2) Remove the fuel manifold as follows:
(a) Remove the bolts (220, 240) and the nuts (230, 250) from the loop clamps (260, 270) that attach the fuel drain manifold (20) to the fuel manifold (60). Then, remove the loop clamps (260, 270).
(b) Put a container below the drain tube coupling nut (30).
(c) Disconnect
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET AIRCRAFT FUEL IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES.
IF YOU GET FUEL ON YOUR SKIN OR ON YOUR CLOTHES, FLUSH IT IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER.
IF NECESSARY, GET MEDICAL HELP.
AIRCRAFT FUEL IS POISONOUS.
1 Disconnect the drain tube coupling nut (30). (d) Remove the bolts (290, 310) and the nut (280, 320) from the loop clamps (300, 330) that attach the fuel manifold (60) and the fuel drain manifold (20) to the upper bracket and the LPT cooling tube bracket. Then, remove the loop clamps (300).
(e) Remove the bolts (340) and the nuts (350) from the loop clamps (360) that attach the fuel manifold (60) to the VSV drain bracket. Then, remove the clamps (360).
(f) Remove the bolts (370), washers (380) and the nuts (390) that attach the fuel manifold (60) to the lower air tube (50). Then, remove the loop clamps (400, 410).
(g) Put a CONTAINER 20 L - SHALLOW below the fuel manifold (480).
(h) Remove the bolts (430) and the nuts (420), that attach the fuel manifold (60) to the fuel manifold (480).
B. Removal of the (LPTCC) fuel manifold
(1) Remove the (LPTCC) fuel manifold as follows:
(a) Remove and discard the gasket (440) that is between the fuel manifold (60) and the fuel manifold (480).
(b) Put a container below the LPTCC fuel manifold (450).
(c) Remove the bolts (460) from the lower flange of the LPTCC fuel manifold (450). Then, remove the manifold (450).
(d) Remove and discard the gasket (440, 470) at both ends of the LPTCC fuel manifold (450).
(f) Disconnect the nut on the fuel drain manifold (20) from the VSV actuator drain manifold. Then, remove the fuel drain manifold (20).
(g) Disconnect the coupling nut of the fuel drain tube (30) from the nipple of the fuel drain manifold (20). Remove the fuel drain tube (30) and install COVER - PROTECTION on the open ends of the tube.
(2) Remove the fuel bolts as follows:
(a) Cut and remove the lockwire from the drain connectors (70) and the fuel manifolds (60). Then, disconnect the drain connectors (70). If necessary, use PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG to loosen the connectors.
(b) Remove and discard the O-rings (80) from the drain connectors (70).
(c) Remove the fuel bolts (90) from the fuel manifold (60). Then, remove and discard the O-rings (100) on the fuel bolts (90).
(3) Remove the fuel manifold as follows:
(a) Disconnect the fuel manifold (60). If necessary, use PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG to loosen the connectors.
(b) Remove the fuel manifold (60) from the RACC valve (10). Then, remove and discard the O-rings (110, 120) from the fuel manifold (60).
(c) Install CAP - BLANKING on the open ends of the fuel manifold (60).
Subtask 75-23-10-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the (LPTCC) fuel manifold as follows:
(a) Remove and discard the gasket (440) that is between the fuel manifold (60) and the fuel manifold (480).
(b) Put a container below the LPTCC fuel manifold (450).
(c) Remove the bolts (460) from the lower flange of the LPTCC fuel manifold (450). Then, remove the manifold (450).
(d) Remove and discard the gasket (440, 470) at both ends of the LPTCC fuel manifold (450).
NOTE: The seals can be used again if there is no damage.
(e) Disconnect the coupling nut on the fuel drain manifold (20) and the coupling nut on the drain tube (30) from the drain connectors (70). Then, remove the fuel drain tube (30). (f) Disconnect the nut on the fuel drain manifold (20) from the VSV actuator drain manifold. Then, remove the fuel drain manifold (20).
(g) Disconnect the coupling nut of the fuel drain tube (30) from the nipple of the fuel drain manifold (20). Remove the fuel drain tube (30) and install COVER - PROTECTION on the open ends of the tube.
(2) Remove the fuel bolts as follows:
(a) Cut and remove the lockwire from the drain connectors (70) and the fuel manifolds (60). Then, disconnect the drain connectors (70). If necessary, use PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG to loosen the connectors.
(b) Remove and discard the O-rings (80) from the drain connectors (70).
(c) Remove the fuel bolts (90) from the fuel manifold (60). Then, remove and discard the O-rings (100) on the fuel bolts (90).
(3) Remove the fuel manifold as follows:
(a) Disconnect the fuel manifold (60). If necessary, use PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG to loosen the connectors.
(b) Remove the fuel manifold (60) from the RACC valve (10). Then, remove and discard the O-rings (110, 120) from the fuel manifold (60).
(c) Install CAP - BLANKING on the open ends of the fuel manifold (60).
C. Remove the RACC valve as follows:
(1) Remove the Vee-band clamps (140, 190) and the seals (130, 200) from between the RACC valve (10) and the upper and lower air tubes (40, 50).
(2) Loosen the nuts that attach the clamps of the lower air tube (50).
(3) Loosen the nuts that attach the clamps of the upper air tube (40).
(4) Loosen the bolts that attach the upper air tube (40) to the fifth stage bleed port.
(5) Cut and remove the lockwire and loosen the bolts that attach the lower air tube (50) to the fan frame.
(6) Remove the bolts (150, 170) and the nuts (160, 180) that attach the RACC valve to the flange.
(7) Remove the insulation blanket (210) from the RACC valve (10).
(8) Remove the RACC valve (10).
(9) Install CAP - BLANKING on the open port of the HPC case.
(10) Install CAP - BLANKING on the open ports of the RACC valve (10) and the open ends of the upper and lower air tubes (40, 50).
(1) Remove the Vee-band clamps (140, 190) and the seals (130, 200) from between the RACC valve (10) and the upper and lower air tubes (40, 50).
(2) Loosen the nuts that attach the clamps of the lower air tube (50).
(3) Loosen the nuts that attach the clamps of the upper air tube (40).
(4) Loosen the bolts that attach the upper air tube (40) to the fifth stage bleed port.
(5) Cut and remove the lockwire and loosen the bolts that attach the lower air tube (50) to the fan frame.
(6) Remove the bolts (150, 170) and the nuts (160, 180) that attach the RACC valve to the flange.
(7) Remove the insulation blanket (210) from the RACC valve (10).
(8) Remove the RACC valve (10).
(9) Install CAP - BLANKING on the open port of the HPC case.
(10) Install CAP - BLANKING on the open ports of the RACC valve (10) and the open ends of the upper and lower air tubes (40, 50).
