C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the MAINTENANCE PNL 50VU :
     (a) Release the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1 (2) pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch is on.
   (2) On the left or right MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST ENG menu page

4. Procedure
Subtask 74-00-00-710-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
WARNING: BEFORE YOU PUSH THE MAN START PUSHBUTTON SWITCH, MAKE SURE THAT, ON THE ECAM DISPLAY UNIT, THE PRESSURE AT THE STARTER VALVE INLET IS ZERO PSI. IF THE PRESSURE IS NOT ZERO PSI, THE ENGINE CAN ROTATE AND CAUSE INJURY.
A. Do this test :
NOTE: This test is for the system 1. For the other system(s), use the indications between the parentheses.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU:

  • Push the line key adjacent to the FADEC 1A (2A) indication.
2.Push the line key adjacent to the IGN TEST indication.

3.On the panel 115VU:

  • Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

4.Set the ENG/MASTER 1 (2) control switch to ON.

5.Push the line key adjacent to the PUSH BUTTON TO START TEST indication.

  • The CAUTION: IGNITERS WILL CYCLE DURING TEST IGNITER A TESTED THEN B indication comes into view
    F Ignition System Test ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

  • IGNITER A THEN B WILL CYCLE FOR 10 SECS EACH. Make sure that igniter 1 of the engine 1(2) makes noise for 10 seconds and after about 2 seconds the igniter 2 of the engine 1(2) makes noise for 10 seconds.

6.Set the ENG/MASTER 1 (2) control switch to OFF.

7.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
  • The ENGINE menu comes into view.
8.Do the procedure again for the channel B of the FADEC 1 (2).

9.On the MCDU, push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu page comes into view.

10.Stop the MCDU.

A. On the panel 50VU:
   (1) Push the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch. The ON legend goes off.

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
