A. General
(1) The exceedance report screen is used to display the maximum physical values and exceedance duration for N1, N2, oil pressure and oil temperature as well as the maximum indicated values and exceedance duration for N1 and Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT). The minimum physical value of Oil Pressure is also displayed. The exceedance time in seconds accumulated above the exceedance limit is also displayed.
5. Close-up(1) The exceedance report screen is used to display the maximum physical values and exceedance duration for N1, N2, oil pressure and oil temperature as well as the maximum indicated values and exceedance duration for N1 and Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT). The minimum physical value of Oil Pressure is also displayed. The exceedance time in seconds accumulated above the exceedance limit is also displayed.
NOTE: The exceedance values and the duration of any limit exceedance is reset during the following engine ground start (when EEC flight leg is incremented) or by user selection in the menu mode exceedance report screen.
(2) Do the exceedance report menu mode function. NOTE: The EEC will not enter the menu mode (interactive mode) after an enquire command from the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS) when any of the following conditions are set:
- N2 more than ten percent or invalid
- Rotary selector is set on: CRANK or IGN/START or invalid
- Manual Start Button set on: ON or invalid
- Throttle Lever Angle (TLA) not at idle or invalid
- Aircraft in the air
- MASTER lever ON or invalid
- BITE command code input label invalid.
NOTE: EEC Menu Mode will be terminated without displaying a termination screen if any of the following conditions occur:
- The RETURN key is selected on the main menu screen
- Engine start is detected
- Mach is greater than 0.12 or invalid
- Aircraft indicates it is in air.
| ACTION | RESULT |
|---|---|
| 1.Initialize Menu Mode on the applicable engine and EEC, by selecting FADEC XY (X = Engine Position, Y = Channel Designation). | |
| 2.From the Menu Mode main menu, select the key adjacent to SPECIAL FUNCTIONS (2R). See the Sheet 1 of the figure: | The Special Functions submenu is displayed. |
| 3.From the Special Functions submenu, select the key adjacent to EXCEEDANCE REPORT (5L). Refer to sheet 2 of the figure: | The Exceedance Report screen is displayed. See the sheet 3 of the figure:
|
4.Review the following information displayed on the MCDU screen:
| If the RETURN key is selected on the MCDU when the exceedance report is displayed, the Special Functions menu will be displayed. |
| 5.Verify the engine did not exceed operational limits (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-200-818). If operational limits are exceeded, apply corrective action. | |
| 6.As an option, you may reset the stored maximum values. A.To reset the Exceedance Report values, select the key adjacent to PAGE 2 (5R) then on PAGE 2 select the key adjacent to RESET MAX VALUES (4L). NOTE: The stored maximum values are reset on the subsequent ground start. | The Exceedance Report screen is re-displayed and all values are reset to zero. See the sheet 3 of the figure:
