A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER CONTROL SW is in OFF position.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

G. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Insulation Housing.
F Fuel Tubes ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Cut the lockwire and remove it from the insulation housing (65).
   (2) Remove the housing (65) from the fuel filter differential pressure switch (5).

B. Removal of the Fuel Tubes
   (1) Put a CONTAINER 4 L (1 USGAL) below the fuel filter (10) to catch the drained fuel.

   (2) Disconnect the lower tubes (45) and (50) from the unions (55) on the fuel filter. Let the fuel drain into the container.
   (3) Disconnect the upper tubes (35) and (40) differential pressure switch (5). (See Detail B).

   (4) Remove the screw (20), washer (30), and nut (25) that attach the clamps (15) on the tubes (35) and (40). (See Detail C).
   (5) Remove the screw (20), washer (30) and nut (25) that attach the clamps (15) on the tubes (35) and (40) to the upper bracket. (SEE Detail D).
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTER TORQUE TO THE TUBES WHEN YOU DISCONNECT THE LOWER TUBES FROM THE UPPER TUBES.
   (6) Disconnect the lower tubes (45) and (50) from the upper tubes (35) and (40). Remove the tubes (35) and (40) from the engine.
   (7) Remove the two screws (20), washers (30) and nuts (25) that attach the clamps (15) on the tubes (35) and (40) to the middle bracket. (See Detail B).
F Fuel Tubes ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (8) Remove the screw (20), washer (30) and nut (25) that attach the clamps (15) on the tubes (45) and (50). (See Detail C).
   (9) Remove the screw (20), washer (30) and nut (25) that attach the clamp (15) on the tube (45) to the bracket at flange Sta.199 (J). (See Detail C).
   (10) Remove the screw (20), washer (30) and nut (25) that attach the clamps (15) on the tubes (45) and (50) to the bracket on the transfer gear box. (See Detail D).
   (11) Remove the unions (55) and packings (60) from the fuel filter (10). Discard the packings (60).
   (12) Remove the tubes (45) and (50) from the engine.
   (13) Put a COVER - PROTECTION on the coupling nuts, the pressure switch (5) and the fuel filter (10).
