Installation of the Flowpath Panels 1 to 4
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 72-24-09-010-052-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 72-24-09-010-053-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

A. Installation of the Flowpath Panel 4
(1) Remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION from the engine.
(2) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Lubricate the threads of the two screws (13) with the graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(4) Lubricate the three screws (14) with mastinox 6856H (Material No.CP2317) .
(5) Install the flowpath panel 4 (12) in correct position.
(6) Install the three screws (14) to attach the flowpath panel 4 (12) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(7) TORQUE the three screws (14) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )

(8) Install the two screws (13) to attach the flowpath panel 4 (12) to the fitting hanger (1).
(9) TORQUE the two screws (13) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )
.
(10) Remove the unwanted mastinox 6856H around the three screws (14), on the flowpath panel 4 (12) and from the fan frame shroud (4) with a dry cloth.
Subtask 72-24-09-420-051-A (1) Remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION from the engine.
(2) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Lubricate the threads of the two screws (13) with the graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(4) Lubricate the three screws (14) with mastinox 6856H (Material No.CP2317) .
(5) Install the flowpath panel 4 (12) in correct position.
(6) Install the three screws (14) to attach the flowpath panel 4 (12) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(7) TORQUE the three screws (14) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )
. (8) Install the two screws (13) to attach the flowpath panel 4 (12) to the fitting hanger (1).
(9) TORQUE the two screws (13) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )
. (10) Remove the unwanted mastinox 6856H around the three screws (14), on the flowpath panel 4 (12) and from the fan frame shroud (4) with a dry cloth.
B. Installation of the Flowpath Panel 3
(1) Remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION from the engine.
(2) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Apply mastinox 6856H (Material No.CP2317) on the pressure faces of the seven washers (16) and on the barrels, threads and pressure faces of the seven bolts (10) and the seven screws (11).
(4) Install the flowpath panel 3 (9) in correct position.
(5) Install the seven screws (11) to attach the flowpath panel 3 (9) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(6) TORQUE the seven screws (11) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )

(7) Install the seven bolts (10) and the seven washers (16) to attach the flowpath panel 3 (9) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(8) TORQUE the seven bolts (10) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )
.
(9) Remove the unwanted mastinox 6856H around the seven screws (11), the seven bolts (10), on the flowpath panel 3 (9) and from the fan frame shroud (4) with a dry cloth.
Subtask 72-24-09-420-052-A (1) Remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION from the engine.
(2) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Apply mastinox 6856H (Material No.CP2317) on the pressure faces of the seven washers (16) and on the barrels, threads and pressure faces of the seven bolts (10) and the seven screws (11).
(4) Install the flowpath panel 3 (9) in correct position.
(5) Install the seven screws (11) to attach the flowpath panel 3 (9) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(6) TORQUE the seven screws (11) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )
. (7) Install the seven bolts (10) and the seven washers (16) to attach the flowpath panel 3 (9) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(8) TORQUE the seven bolts (10) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )
. (9) Remove the unwanted mastinox 6856H around the seven screws (11), the seven bolts (10), on the flowpath panel 3 (9) and from the fan frame shroud (4) with a dry cloth.
C. Installation of the Flowpath Panel 2
(1) Remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION from the engine.
(2) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Apply mastinox 6856H (Material No.CP2317) on the pressure faces of the eight washers (15) and on the barrels, threads and pressure faces of the eight bolts (7) and the eight screws (8).
(4) Install the flowpath panel 2 (6) in correct position.
(5) Install the eight screws (8) to attach the flowpath panel 2 (6) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(6) TORQUE the eight screws (8) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )

(7) Install the eight bolts (7) and the eight washers (15) to attach the flowpath panel 2 (6) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(8) TORQUE the eight bolts (7) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )

(9) Remove the unwanted mastinox 6856H around the eight screws (8), the eight bolts (7), on the flowpath panel 2 (6) and from the fan frame shroud (4) with a dry cloth.
Subtask 72-24-09-420-053-A (1) Remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION from the engine.
(2) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Apply mastinox 6856H (Material No.CP2317) on the pressure faces of the eight washers (15) and on the barrels, threads and pressure faces of the eight bolts (7) and the eight screws (8).
(4) Install the flowpath panel 2 (6) in correct position.
(5) Install the eight screws (8) to attach the flowpath panel 2 (6) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(6) TORQUE the eight screws (8) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )
. (7) Install the eight bolts (7) and the eight washers (15) to attach the flowpath panel 2 (6) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(8) TORQUE the eight bolts (7) to between 120.75 and 109.25 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.23 m.daN )
. (9) Remove the unwanted mastinox 6856H around the eight screws (8), the eight bolts (7), on the flowpath panel 2 (6) and from the fan frame shroud (4) with a dry cloth.
D. Installation of the Flowpath Panel 1
(1) Remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION from the engine.
(2) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Lubricate the threads of the two screws (3) with the graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(4) Lubricate the three screws (5) with mastinox 6856H (Material No.CP2317) .
(5) Install the flowpath panel 1 (2) in correct position.
(6) Install the three screws (5) to attach the flowpath panel 1 (2) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(7) TORQUE the three screws (5) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )

(8) Install the two screws (3) to attach the flowpath panel 1 (2) to the fitting hanger (1).
(9) TORQUE the two screws (3) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )
.
(10) Remove the unwanted mastinox 6856H around the three screws (5), on the flowpath panel 1 (2) and from the fan frame shroud (4) with a dry cloth.
5. Close-up(1) Remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION from the engine.
(2) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(3) Lubricate the threads of the two screws (3) with the graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
(4) Lubricate the three screws (5) with mastinox 6856H (Material No.CP2317) .
(5) Install the flowpath panel 1 (2) in correct position.
(6) Install the three screws (5) to attach the flowpath panel 1 (2) to the fan frame shroud (4).
(7) TORQUE the three screws (5) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )
. (8) Install the two screws (3) to attach the flowpath panel 1 (2) to the fitting hanger (1).
(9) TORQUE the two screws (3) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )
. (10) Remove the unwanted mastinox 6856H around the three screws (5), on the flowpath panel 1 (2) and from the fan frame shroud (4) with a dry cloth.

(2) Close the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):
