Installation of the Shroud Junction Fitting
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 72-24-06-010-052-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 72-24-06-010-053-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

A. Installation of the Shroud Junction Fittings
(1) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(2) Installation of the shroud junction fitting (10):
(a) Install the shroud junction fitting (10) in the correct position on segment shroud 5 (13) and strut 1 pad (left) (11).
(b) Lubricate the threads of the eight screws (12) with Graphite Mineral Vaseline (Material No.CP2101) .
(c) Install the eight screws (12) that attach the shroud junction fitting (10) to segment shroud 5 (13) and strut 1 pad (left) (11).
(d) TORQUE the eight screws (12) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )

(3) Installation of the shroud junction fitting (14):
(a) Install the shroud junction fitting (14) in the correct position on segment shroud 1 (3) and strut 1 pad (right) (15).
(b) Lubricate the threads of the eight screws (16) with Graphite Mineral Vaseline (Material No.CP2101) .
(c) Install the eight screws (16) that attach the shroud junction fitting (14) to segment shroud 1 (3) and strut 1 pad (right) (15).
(d) TORQUE the eight screws (16) to between 84 and 76 lbf.in (0.95 and 0.86 m.daN )

(4) Installation of the shroud junction fitting (2A or 2B):
(a) Install the shroud junction fitting (2A or 2B) in the correct position on segment shroud 2 (6) and segment shroud 3 (9).
