A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-22-11-010-103-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 71-22-11-010-104-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809). D. Get Access
(1) Open the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

(2) Remove the left or right thrust reverser hinge access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-45-000-801).
4. Procedure(1) Open the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

(2) Remove the left or right thrust reverser hinge access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-45-000-801).
Subtask 71-22-11-220-054-A
A. Detailed Inspection of the Aft Engine Mount and Secondary Load-Path Clearance, Fail Safe Pin
(2) Clean any dirt or unwanted material from the Aft engine mount with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Do a detailed inspection of the aft mount link (3), aft mount shackle (4), aft beam assy (1) and aft mount bolts (2) for:

(4) Do a detailed inspection of the secondary load-path clearance.
(a) Remove the two screw (5) and two lock sheets (6).
(b) Remove nut (7).
(c) Remove the retainer sheet (8).
(d) Check that the fail safe pin (9) move freely.
1) If the fail safe pin (9) does not rotates freely, contact Airbus for instruction.
2) If the fail safe pin (9) rotates freely, remove this one and do a visual inspection of the fail safe pin (9). - If you find damage, contact Airbus for instruction.
(e) Install the fail safe pin (9) and the retainer sheet (8).
(f) Install the nut (7).
(g) TORQUE the nut (7) to between 2.68 and 2.24 m.daN (19.76 and 16.52 lbf.ft )
.
(h) Install the two lock sheets (6) and the two screws (5).
(i) TORQUE the two screws (5) to between 0.47 and 0.37 m.daN (41.59 and 32.74 lbf.in )
.
5. Close-upNOTE: You can use an MIRROR - INSPECTION and a FLASHLIGHT - HIGHPOWER.
(1) Get access to the aft engine mount at 12 o'clock area (engine junction area). (2) Clean any dirt or unwanted material from the Aft engine mount with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Do a detailed inspection of the aft mount link (3), aft mount shackle (4), aft beam assy (1) and aft mount bolts (2) for:
- Dents
- Scratches
- Nicks
- Corrosion
- Cracks
(4) Do a detailed inspection of the secondary load-path clearance.
(a) Remove the two screw (5) and two lock sheets (6).
(b) Remove nut (7).
(c) Remove the retainer sheet (8).
(d) Check that the fail safe pin (9) move freely.
1) If the fail safe pin (9) does not rotates freely, contact Airbus for instruction.
2) If the fail safe pin (9) rotates freely, remove this one and do a visual inspection of the fail safe pin (9). - If you find damage, contact Airbus for instruction.
(e) Install the fail safe pin (9) and the retainer sheet (8).
(f) Install the nut (7).
(g) TORQUE the nut (7) to between 2.68 and 2.24 m.daN (19.76 and 16.52 lbf.ft )
. (h) Install the two lock sheets (6) and the two screws (5).
(i) TORQUE the two screws (5) to between 0.47 and 0.37 m.daN (41.59 and 32.74 lbf.in )

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the left or right thrust reverser hinge access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-45-400-801).
(3) Close the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):

(3) Close the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):
