WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for Ground Maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-13-87-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Thrust Reverser Align Ramp
   (1) Install the thrust reverser align ramp assembly (1) and ramp pad (2).
NOTE: The following procedures are for the removal of the left thrust reverser align ramp assembly and ramp pad. Procedures for the removal of the right thrust reverser align ramp assembly and ramp pad are opposite.
   (2) Clean the mating surfaces of the ramp assembly (1), ramp pad (2), bolts (6) and (3), washers (5) and nut (4) with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) and the PU2-0001alcohol, isopropyl.
   (3) Remove the PU2-0001alcohol, isopropyl with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) before the PU2-0001alcohol, isopropyl becomes dry.
   (4) Apply a layer of the sealant (Material No.PU3-0004) to under the head of the bolts (6) and (3), and mating surfaces of washers (5) and nuts (4).
   (5) Attach the ramp pad (2) to the ramp assembly (1) with the two bolts (3).
   (6) TORQUE the bolts (3) to between 34 and 31 lbf.in (0.38 and 0.35 m.daN ) T.
   (7) Make sure that there is sufficient sealant (Material No.
PU3-0004) on the mating surfaces. Remove the unwanted sealant (Material No.PU3-0004) with a clean, lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) .
   (8) Install the ramp assembly (1) and ramp pad (2) with two bolts (6), four washers (5) and two nuts (4) to the engine fan case.
   (9) TORQUE the nuts (4) to between 215 and 195 lbf.in (2.43 and 2.20 m.daN ) T.
   (10) Make sure that there is sufficient sealant (Material No.
PU3-0004) on the mating surfaces. Remove the unwanted sealant (Material No.PU3-0004) with a clean, lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) .
