A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Fully retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
   (2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
   (3) Make sure that the aircraft is electrically grounded (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-002).
   (4) Depressurize the Green and the Blue hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
   (5) Depressurize the applicable hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (6) Remove the safety collar from the circuit breakers 9CV and 11CV.

   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable aileron, zone 575(675).
   (2) Remove the applicable access panels:
     (a) For the left wing, remove:
     (b) For the right wing, remove:
   (3) Remove the applicable aileron (Ref. AMM TASK 27-14-41-000-001).

Subtask 57-51-31-020-052-A
A. Cutting and Removal of the Aileron-Hinge Spherical Bearings on the Support Frames 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
NOTE: Use the applicable items from the ASK4102-10 TOOLKIT-BEARING SWAGING, to do this procedure.
   (1) Remove the aileron-hinge spherical bearing (3) with the tools ASC4102-10 and ASIR4102-10R.
   (2) Make sure a depth of 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.) is cut into the swaged lip of the aileron-hinge bushing sleeve (2).
