MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the flaps/slats are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(3) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE below the applicable access panel, zone 575(675).

4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Access Panels 575KB(675KB), 575LB(675LB), 575MB(675MB)

NOTE: Panel inserts can fall out when the panels are removed. Keep all inserts that fall out. Make a record of the position of each missing insert.

(1) For access panel 575KB (675KB):
(a) Remove the bolts (3), the access panel (2) and the shim(s) (1).
1 Record the number of the shim(s) (1) for the installation procedure.
(2) For access panel 575LB (675LB):
(a) Remove the bolts (7), the access panel (8) and the shims (4), (5) and (6).
1 Record the number of the shims (4), (5) and (6) for the installation procedure.
(3) For access panel 575MB (675MB):
(a) Remove the bolts (10), the access panel (11) and the shim(s) (9).
1 Record the number of the shim(s) (9) for the installation procedure.
