Subtask 54-57-22-941-096-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
     (a) For the left pylon, at zone 410
     (b) For the right pylon, at zone 420.

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
   (1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

C. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (2) Clean the parts kept from the removed component with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Install the fan exit fairing - upper Bifi (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-04-400-801).
4. Procedure
Subtask 54-57-22-420-071-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Nose Fire Seal
F Nose Fire Seal ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Make sure that the nose fire seal (4) is in the correct condition. If it is not in the correct condition, discard it and install a new nose fire seal (4).
   (2) Put and hold the nose fire seal (4) in position.
   (3) Install the washers (1) and the nuts (2).
   (4) Install the nut (3).
   (5) TORQUE the nuts (2) and (3) to between 0.17 and 0.13 m.daN (15.04 and 11.50 lbf.in ) T.

A. Installation of the Nose Fire Seal
F Nose Fire Seal ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Make sure that nose fire seal (4) is in the correct condition. If it is not in the correct condition, discard it and install a new nose fire AIPC 54-57-82-23-140 seal (4).
   (2) Put and hold the nose fire seal (4) in position.
   (3) Install the washers (1) and the nuts (2).
   (4) Install the nut (3).
   (5) TORQUE the nuts (2) and (3) to between 4.7 and 3.7 m.N (41.59 and 32.74 lbf.in ) T.

A. Close Access
   (1) Close the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
   (2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

B. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser
   (1) Make the thrust reverser serviceable after maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-805).

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
