A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU: off.
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

C. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(2) Open the thrust reverser doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040):

(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 410

(4) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):
(a) For the left pylon

(b) For the right pylon

(5) Remove the lower FWD fairings (Ref. AMM TASK 54-56-00-000-001).
(a) For the left pylon

4. Procedure
Subtask 54-57-22-020-059-O ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Lateral Fairing
(1) Remove the seal (7) from the fitting.
(2) Remove the screws (1), the washers (2) and the nuts (3).
(3) Remove the bolts (4), the washers (5) and the nuts (6).
(4) Remove the lateral fairing (8).

A. Removal of the Lateral Fairing
(1) Remove the seal (8) from the fitting.
(2) Remove the screws (1), the washers (2) and the nuts (3).
(3) Remove the plate assembly (7) at the corner of the fairing (9).
(4) Remove the bolts (4), the washers (5) and the nuts (6).
(5) Remove the lateral fairing (9).
