A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 415
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 425.
(3) Make sure that the pylon lateral access-doors are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-802):
(a) For the left pylon: 415AL 415BR
(b) For the right pylon: 425AL 425BR.

(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 415
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 425.
(3) Make sure that the pylon lateral access-doors are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-802):
(a) For the left pylon: 415AL 415BR
(b) For the right pylon: 425AL 425BR.
B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
4. ProcedureWARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). Subtask 54-57-17-420-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) If you install new reverser fittings, do a dimensional check of the new and the initial reverser fittings.
(2) Obey the location and thickness of the peel shim recorded at the removal.
(3) Put the shim (4) in the correct position on the pylon.
(4) Put the thrust-reverser cowl fitting (1) in position.
(5) Install the washers (5) on the bolts (6).
(6) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the shanks of the bolts (6).
(7) Install the washers (3) and the nuts (2).
(8) Tighten the nuts (2).
5. Close-up(1) If you install new reverser fittings, do a dimensional check of the new and the initial reverser fittings.
(2) Obey the location and thickness of the peel shim recorded at the removal.

(4) Put the thrust-reverser cowl fitting (1) in position.
(5) Install the washers (5) on the bolts (6).
(6) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the shanks of the bolts (6).
(7) Install the washers (3) and the nuts (2).
(8) Tighten the nuts (2).

A. Close Access
(1) Install the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-400-802):
(a) For the left pylon: 415AL 415BR
(b) For the right pylon: 425AL 425BR.
(2) Install the thrust reversers:

(1) Make the thrust reverser serviceable after maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-805).

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
