WARNING:

- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
WARNING:
THE CARTRIDGE IS AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE. REMOVE IT BEFORE YOU DISASSEMBLE THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE.
TO PREVENT INJURY TO THE PERSONNEL BECAUSE OF THE EXPLOSION OF THE CARTRIDGE IF IT HAS NOT BEEN FIRED:
- INSTALL A SHUNT DEVICE.
- THIS WILL SHUNT THE PINS TOGETHER ON THE CARTRIDGE BEFORE ITS REMOVAL.
WARNING:
BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE A FULL FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE. A SUDDEN OR HEAVY SHOCK TO A FULL BOTTLE CAN CAUSE UNWANTED DISCHARGE AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
WARNING:
IF YOU REMOVE THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES IN A CLOSED HANGAR, MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS A FLOW OF NEW AIR IN THE HANGAR.
CAUTION:
BEFORE INSTALLATION, MAKE SURE THAT:
1. Reason for the Job- THE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE, DISCHARGE HEAD AND CARTRIDGE ARE FROM THE SAME VENDOR, AND
- THE PART NUMBERS ARE THE ONES SPECIFIED IN THE IPC.

Subtask 54-51-63-941-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
(2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 54-51-63-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-63-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zone 415
(b) For the right pylon, at zone 425.
(2) Make sure that the applicable pylon lateral access-doors are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-802):
(a) For the left pylon: 415BL and 415CR
(b) For the right pylon: 425BL and 425CR.
(3) Make sure that the applicable engine fire-extinguisher bottles are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-000-001).
Subtask 54-51-63-110-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zone 415
(b) For the right pylon, at zone 425.
(2) Make sure that the applicable pylon lateral access-doors are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-802):
(a) For the left pylon: 415BL and 415CR
(b) For the right pylon: 425BL and 425CR.
(3) Make sure that the applicable engine fire-extinguisher bottles are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-000-001).
E. Preparation for the Installation
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) If they are not sufficiently clean, clean the parts kept from the removed component with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) If they are not sufficiently clean, clean the parts kept from the removed component with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
Subtask 54-51-63-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Supports of the Engine Fire-Extinguisher Bottles
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the shanks of the bolts (2).
(b) Put the bracket (1) in position on RIB6 of the pylon box and install the bolts (2) and the nuts (3).
(c) Tighten the nuts (3).
(d) Do the electrical bonding at the bracket (1) and the bolts (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(2) Installation of the bracket (31) on RIB8 of the pylon box:
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the shanks of the bolts (29).
(b) Put the bracket (31) in position on RIB8 of the pylon box and install the bolts (29) and the nuts (30).
(c) Tighten the nuts (30).
(d) Do the electrical bonding at the bracket (31) and the bolts (29) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(3) Installation of the bracket (4) on RIB7 of the pylon box:
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the bolts (6), (11) and (12).
(b) Put and hold the bracket (4) in position on RIB7 of the pylon box.
(c) Install the bolts (6), (11) and (12) and the nuts (20), (14) and (15).
(d) Installation of the bracket (21) on RIB7 of the pylon box:
1 Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the bolt (7).
2 Put and hold the bracket (21) in position on RIB7 of the pylon box.
3 Install the bolts (5) and (7) and the nuts (22) and (23).
(e) Installation of the bracket (8) on RIB7 of the pylon box:
1 Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the bolt (9).
2 Put and hold the bracket (8) in position on RIB7 of the pylon box.
3 Install the bolts (9) and (10) and the nuts (16) and (13).
(f) Tighten the nuts (13), (14), (15), (16), (20), (22) and (23).
(g) Do the electrical bonding at the bracket (4) and the bolts (6), (7), (10), (11) and (12) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(h) Installation of the clamp (17) on the bracket (4):
1 Put and hold the clamp (17) in position on the bracket (4) and install the washers (18) and the bolts (19).
2 Tighten the bolts (19).
(i) Make sure that the clip nuts (24) are installed on the bracket (25).
(j) Put and hold the clamps (26) in position on the bracket (25) and install the washers (27) and the bolts (28).
(k) Tighten the bolts (28).
5. Close-upCAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION. THE SCREWS HAVE DIFFERENT LENGTHS. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Installation of the bracket (1) on RIB6 of the pylon box: (a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the shanks of the bolts (2).
(b) Put the bracket (1) in position on RIB6 of the pylon box and install the bolts (2) and the nuts (3).
(c) Tighten the nuts (3).
(d) Do the electrical bonding at the bracket (1) and the bolts (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(2) Installation of the bracket (31) on RIB8 of the pylon box:
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the shanks of the bolts (29).
(b) Put the bracket (31) in position on RIB8 of the pylon box and install the bolts (29) and the nuts (30).
(c) Tighten the nuts (30).
(d) Do the electrical bonding at the bracket (31) and the bolts (29) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(3) Installation of the bracket (4) on RIB7 of the pylon box:
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the bolts (6), (11) and (12).
(b) Put and hold the bracket (4) in position on RIB7 of the pylon box.
(c) Install the bolts (6), (11) and (12) and the nuts (20), (14) and (15).
(d) Installation of the bracket (21) on RIB7 of the pylon box:
1 Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the bolt (7).
2 Put and hold the bracket (21) in position on RIB7 of the pylon box.
3 Install the bolts (5) and (7) and the nuts (22) and (23).
(e) Installation of the bracket (8) on RIB7 of the pylon box:
1 Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the bolt (9).
2 Put and hold the bracket (8) in position on RIB7 of the pylon box.
3 Install the bolts (9) and (10) and the nuts (16) and (13).
(f) Tighten the nuts (13), (14), (15), (16), (20), (22) and (23).
(g) Do the electrical bonding at the bracket (4) and the bolts (6), (7), (10), (11) and (12) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(h) Installation of the clamp (17) on the bracket (4):
1 Put and hold the clamp (17) in position on the bracket (4) and install the washers (18) and the bolts (19).
2 Tighten the bolts (19).
(i) Make sure that the clip nuts (24) are installed on the bracket (25).
(j) Put and hold the clamps (26) in position on the bracket (25) and install the washers (27) and the bolts (28).
(k) Tighten the bolts (28).
Subtask 54-51-63-410-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Install the removed engine fire-extinguisher bottles (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-400-001).
(2) Install the removed pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-400-802):
(a) For the left pylon: 415BL and 415CR
(b) For the right pylon: 425BL and 425CR.
Subtask 54-51-63-440-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the removed engine fire-extinguisher bottles (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-400-001).
(2) Install the removed pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-400-802):
(a) For the left pylon: 415BL and 415CR
(b) For the right pylon: 425BL and 425CR.
B. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser
(1) Make the thrust reverser serviceable after maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-805).
