Subtask 53-35-13-860-051-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
   (3) Make sure that the MLG doors are open as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position below the applicable access panel.
   (5) Make sure that the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) safety device is installed (Ref. AMM TASK 29-22-00-860-007).
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-35-13-560-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE LOUVER PANEL. IF YOU INSTALL IT INCORRECTLY, THE BELLY FAIRING WILL PRESSURIZE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE STRUCTURE.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Do an inspection of the bonded seals of the panels 197GB (198GB) for good condition. If a seal is defective, do the subsequent replacement procedure.
Subtask 53-35-13-560-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE LOUVER PANEL. IF YOU INSTALL IT INCORRECTLY, THE BELLY FAIRING WILL PRESSURIZE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE STRUCTURE.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Do an inspection of the seals on panels 197GB and 198MB.
   (4) If the seals are damaged, replace them as follows:
NOTE: The seal replacement procedure that follows is the same for panels 197GB and 198MB.

     (a) Drill the rivets and remove the damaged seal SRM 514200.
     (b) Remove the adhesive from the panel with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (c) Make the panel mating surface rough with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 400).
     (d) Carefully make the seal mating surface rough with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 240).
     (e) Clean all the repair areas and the seal with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (f) Apply Cyanoacrylate Adhesive-Non Structural One Part - Medium High viscosity - (Material No.05GBE1) or Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) for the bonding of the seal:
       1 When you apply Cyanoacrylate Adhesive-Non Structural One Part - Medium High viscosity - (Material No.05GBE1) , do the steps that follow:
         a Apply a layer of Cyanoacrylate Adhesive-Non Structural One Part - Medium High viscosity - (Material No.05GBE1) on the seal.
         b Put the seal in position and align the holes of the seal with the pre-drilled holes of the panel.
         c Apply a continuous force for 60 seconds on the full length of the bonded seal.
         d Install the seal on the panel in less than 10 minutes after you applied Cyanoacrylate Adhesive-Non Structural One Part - Medium High viscosity - (Material No.05GBE1) .
NOTE: It is not possible to move the seal after its installation.
         e If the seal is not in the correct position, do the installation procedure again.
       2 When you apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) , do the steps that follow:
         a Apply a thin layer of primer ( Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) ) on the surface of the panel.
         b Let the primer dry for not less than one hour but not more than six hours.
         c Install the seal in less than six hours. If you do not, remove the cured primer and apply a new primer.
         d Apply a layer of adhesive ( Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) ) on the seal with the SPATULA - WOODEN.
         e Make sure that there are no air bubbles.
NOTE: Air bubbles are not permitted.
         f Put the seal in position and align the holes of the seal with the pre-drilled holes of the panel.
         g Install the seal on the panel in less than 10 minutes after you applied Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
     (g) Install the new seal with the rivets SRM 514200.
     (h) Make sure that the new rivets are flush with the fairing skin.
     (i) Make sure that the protective coating is applied to the new rivets.
   (5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 53-35-13-350-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Replacement of the Bonded Seal of Panel 197GB( 198GB)
   (1) Remove the rivets (2) and the dimpled washers (4) from the panel (3) SRM 514200.
   (2) Remove and discard the damaged seal (1).
   (3) Clean the panel (3) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to remove the remaining adhesive.
   (4) Put the new seal (1) in the correct position at the edge of the panel (3).
   (5) Cut the seal (1) to its correct length and, if necessary, cut the edge of the seal (1). Do this until the shape agrees with the curve of the panel (3).
   (6) Hold the seal (1) and put marks on it to align it with the rivet holes of the panel (3).
   (7) Remove the seal (1) and drill the holes for the rivets (2).
   (8) Make the panel (3) mating surface rough with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 400). Make sure that you do not cause damage to the panel (3).
   (9) Lightly rub the seal (1) mating surface with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 240).
   (10) Clean the seal (1) and the panel (3) mating surfaces with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (11) Apply Cyanoacrylate Adhesive-Non Structural One Part - Medium High viscosity - (Material No.05GBE1) or Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) for the bonding of the seal (1):
     (a) When you apply Cyanoacrylate Adhesive-Non Structural One Part - Medium High viscosity - (Material No.05GBE1) , do the steps that follow:
       1 Apply a layer of Cyanoacrylate Adhesive-Non Structural One Part - Medium High viscosity - (Material No.05GBE1) on the seal (1).
       2 Put the seal (1) in position and align the holes of the seal (1) with the pre-drilled holes of the panel (3).
       3 Apply a continuous force for 60 seconds on the full length of the bonded seal (3).
       4 Install the seal (1) on the panel (3) in less than 10 minutes after you applied Cyanoacrylate Adhesive-Non Structural One Part - Medium High viscosity - (Material No.05GBE1) .
NOTE: It is not possible to move the seal (1) after its installation.
       5 If the seal (1) is not in the correct position, do the installation procedure again.
     (b) When you apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) , do the steps that follow:
       1 Apply a thin layer of primer ( Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) ) on the surface of the panel (3).
       2 Let the primer dry for not less than one hour but not more than six hours.
       3 Install the seal (1) in less than six hours. If you do not, remove the cured primer and apply a new primer.
       4 Apply a layer of adhesive ( Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) ) on the seal (1) with the SPATULA - WOODEN.
       5 Make sure that there are no air bubbles.
NOTE: Air bubbles are not permitted.
       6 Put the seal (1) in position and align the holes of the seal with the pre-drilled holes of the panel (3).
       7 Install the seal (1) on the panel (3) in less than 10 minutes after you applied Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
   (12) Push the seal (1) down along its full length and hold it in this position for not less than one minute.
   (13) Install the rivets (2) as follows:
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
     (a) Put the new rivets (2) through the dimpled washers (4), the seal (1) and the panel (3).
     (b) Install the rivets (2) SRM 514200.
     (c) Make sure that the rivets (2) are flush with the surface of the panel (3).
     (d) Clean the surface of the panel (3) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (e) Abrade the surfaces of the dimpled washers (4), the tails and heads of the rivets (2) with the SCOTCHBRITE.
     (f) Clean the surfaces of the dimpled washers (4), the tails and heads of the rivets (2) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (g) Apply Surface Pretreatment-Light Alloys Chemical Conversion Yellow - (Material No.10ABC1) on the surfaces of the dimpled washers (4), the tails and heads of the rivets (2) SRM 512111.
     (h) Apply Primer Epoxy Paint-- Corrosion Inhibiting Structure (Material No.04DAB2) or Primer Paint-- - Composite Structure (Material No.04FMA5) on the dimpled washers (4), the tails and heads of the rivets (2).
     (i) Let the primer dry.
     (j) Apply Top Coat Polyurethane_- Grey Internal Structure (Material No.04JME4) or Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) on the inner side of the panel (3) (on the dimpled washers (4) and the tails of the rivets (2)).
     (k) Apply Top Coat Polyurethane_- - External Structure (Material No.04JAA3) on the outer side of the panel (3) (on the heads of the rivets (2)).
     (l) Let the top coats cure.
Subtask 53-35-13-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Installation of Access Panels 147AB, 147BB, 147EB, 147FB, 148FB, 191GB, 191JB, 195CB, 197AB, 198BB, 197GB and 198GB
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
   (1) For the distance between the MLG door and the access panels installed around the MLG door, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-11-400-001).
   (2) For access panel 191JB:
     (a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (c) Connect the electrical connector to anti-collision light 6LV (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-12-400-001).
     (d) Install the bonding strap (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (3) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
     (a) If you install the removed panel (3), make sure that you put it back to its initial position.
     (b) If you install a new panel (3), find the location of the bonding points.
     (c) Do the electrical bonding at the bonding points of the panel (3).
NOTE: The bonding points have a rough surface, no protection, and a diameter of 20 mm (0.7874 in.).
   (4) For access panel 198BB:
     (a) Make sure that the section (5) is in the correct condition on the panel (3).
     (b) If necessary, remove the section (5) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
     (c) Clean the area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (d) Install the new AIPC 53-35-13-18-010 PROFILE SECTION (5) on the panel (3).
   (5) Put the panel (3) in position.
CAUTION: BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE SCREWS ON THE PANEL, MAKE SURE THAT THE POSITION OF THE SCREWS IS CORRECT. AN INCORRECT POSITION OF THE SCREWS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT BELOW THE PANEL.
   (6) Install the washers (2) and the screws (1).
   (7) For access panel
198BB, tighten the screws (1).
   (8) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in ) T.
   (9) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
NOTE: The measurement of the surface electrical resistance is not necessary if the panels are installed subsequently to their removal without modifications or repairs.
Subtask 53-35-13-420-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Installation of Access Panels 147AB, 147BB, 147EB, 147FB, 148FB, 191GB, 191JB, 195CB, 197AB, 197GB, 198BB, 198MB, 826CR and 826DR
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
   (1) For access panel 191JB:
     (a) For the distance between the MLG door and the access panels installed around the MLG door, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-11-400-001).
     (b) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (c) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (d) Connect the electrical connector to anti-collision light 6LV (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-12-400-001).
     (e) Install the bonding strap (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (2) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
     (a) If you install the removed panel (3), make sure that you put it back to its initial position.
     (b) If you install a new panel, find the location of the bonding points.
NOTE: The bonding points have a rough surface, no protection, and a diameter of 20 mm (0.7874 in.).
   (3) For access panel 198BB:
     (a) Make sure that the section (5) is in the correct condition on the panel (3).
     (b) If necessary, remove the section (5) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
     (c) Clean the area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (d) Install the new AIPC 53-35-13-18-010 PROFILE SECTION (5) on the panel (3).
   (4) Put the panel (3) in position.
CAUTION: BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE SCREWS ON THE PANEL, MAKE SURE THAT THE POSITION OF THE SCREWS IS CORRECT. AN INCORRECT POSITION OF THE SCREWS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT BELOW THE PANEL.
   (5) Install the washers (2) and the screws (1).
   (6) For access panel
198BB, tighten the screws (1).
   (7) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in ) T.
   (8) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
NOTE: The measurement of the surface electrical resistance is not necessary if the panels are installed subsequently to their removal without modifications or repairs.
Subtask 53-35-13-420-050-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Installation of Access Panels 147AB, 147BB, 147EB, 147FB, 148FB, 191GB, 191JB, 195CB, 197AB, 198KB, 197GB and 198GB
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
   (1) For the distance between the MLG door and the access panels installed around the MLG door, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-11-400-001).
   (2) For access panel 191JB:
     (a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (c) Connect the electrical connector to anti-collision light 6LV (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-12-400-001).
     (d) Install the bonding strap (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (3) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
     (a) If you install the removed panel (3), make sure that you put it back to its initial position.
     (b) If you install a new panel (3), find the location of the bonding points.
     (c) Do the electrical bonding at the bonding points of the panel (3).
NOTE: The bonding points have a rough surface, no protection, and a diameter of 20 mm (0.7874 in.).
   (4) For access panel 198KB:
     (a) Make sure that the profile section (5) is in the correct condition on the panel (4).
     (b) If necessary, remove the profile section (5) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
     (c) Clean the area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (d) Install the new AIPC 53-35-13-18-010 PROFILE SECTION (5) on the panel (3).
   (5) Put the panel (3) in position.
CAUTION: BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE SCREWS ON THE PANEL, MAKE SURE THAT THE POSITION OF THE SCREWS IS CORRECT. AN INCORRECT POSITION OF THE SCREWS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT BELOW THE PANEL.
   (6) Install the washers (2) and the screws (1).
   (7) For access panel
198KB, tighten the screws (1).
   (8) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in ) T.
   (9) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)

Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
NOTE: The measurement of the surface electrical resistance is not necessary if the panels are installed subsequently to their removal without modifications or repairs.
5. Close-up
Subtask 53-35-13-410-051-A
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the RAT safety device (Ref. AMM TASK 29-22-00-860-008).
   (3) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
   (6) If necessary, close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
   (7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
