A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the access to the cockpit is available.
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (3) Make sure that the cockpit door is open.

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-51-12-420-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Electrical Release Strikes
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Carefully put the strike harness (3) through the grommet (13) and the release strike (14) in the installation position.
   (4) Install the release strike (14) in the strike housing (12) with the screws (15) and (16).
   (5) Tighten the screws (15) and (16).
   (6) Put the strike housing (12) with the shim plates (9) and/or (10) into the lavatory wall housing (1) and install the spring sheets (11).
NOTE: The quantity of the shim plates (9) and/or (10) results from the position of the cockpit door.
   (7) Connect the electrical connectors:
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Connect the electrical connectors of the strike harness (3) to the fuselage wire harness (2) as given in the ESPM 204825 and AWM 525102.
   (8) Put the cover plate (5) on the lavatory wall housing (1) and install it with the screws (4).
   (9) Tighten the screws (4).
   (10) Apply a small quantity of Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) on the thread of the screws (6).
   (11) Put the cover profile (7) on the lavatory wall (8) and install it with the screws (6).
   (12) Tighten the screws (6).

A. Installation of the Electric Release Strikes
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Carefully put the strike harness (6) through the grommet (5) and the release strike (11) into its installation position.
   (4) Install the release strike (11) in the strike housing (3) with the screws (2) and (12).
   (5) Put the strike housing (3) with the shim plates (14), (15) and/or (16) into the lavatory wall housing (1) and install the spring sheets (17).
NOTE: The quantity of the shim plates (14), (15) and/ or (16) result from the position of the cockpit door.
   (6) Connect the electrical connectors:
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Connect the electrical connectors of the strike harness (6) to the the fuselage wire harness (4) ESPM 2048250 AWM 525102.
   (7) Put the cover plate (8) on the lavatory wall housing (1) and install with the screws (7).
   (8) Apply a small amount of Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the screws (9).
   (9) Put the cover profile (10) on the lavatory wall (13) and install with the screws (9).

A. Installation of the Electric Release Strikes
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Carefully put the strike harness (6) through the grommet (5) and the release strike (11) into its installation position.
   (4) Install the release strike (11) in the strike housing (3) with the screws (2) and (12).
   (5) Put the strike housing (3) with the shim plates (14), (15) and/or (16) into the lavatory wall housing (1) and install the spring sheets (17).
NOTE: The quantity of the shim plates (14), (15) and/or (16) results from the position of the cockpit door.
   (6) Connect the electrical connectors:
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Connect the electrical connectors of the strike harness (6) to the fuselage wire harness (4) ESPM 2048250 AWM 525102.
   (7) Put the cover plate (8) on the lavatory wall housing (1) and install with the screws (7).
   (8) Apply a small amount of Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the screws (9).
   (9) Put the cover profile (10) on the lavatory wall (13) and install with the screws (9).
   (10) Carefully put the strike harness (6) through the grommet (5) and the release strike (19) into its installation position.
   (11) Install the release strike (19) in the strike housing (18) with the screws (2) and (12).
   (12) Put the strike housing (18) with the shim plates (20) and/or (21) into the lavatory wall housing (1) and install the spring sheets (22).
NOTE: The quantity of the shim plates (20) and/or (21) results from the position of the cockpit door.
   (13) Connect the electrical connectors:
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Connect the electrical connectors of the strike harness (6) to the fuselage wire harness (4) ESPM 2048250 AWM 525102.
   (14) Put the cover plate (8) on the lavatory wall housing (1) and install with the screws (7).
   (15) Apply a small amount of Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the screws (9).
   (16) Put the cover profile (10) on the lavatory wall (13) and install with the screws (9).

B. Adjustment
   (1) Make sure that the cockpit door is correctly adjusted (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-00-820-001).
   (2) Adjust the electrical release strikes in accordance with the cockpit door position (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-00-820-001).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Do the operational test of the cockpit door lock system (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-00-710-002).

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the cockpit door is closed.
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
