A. Operational Test of the Emergency Access
   (1) Do this test:

RESULT
1.On the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH:
In the cockpit:
  • enter the numerical emergency entry code and press the '#' pushbutton on the key pad 25MQ
  • the buzzer 23MQ at the cockpit ceiling panel operates.

On the COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
  • the OPEN lamp of the indication light 22MQ flashes.

On the key pad 25MQ:
  • the green LED flashes.

At the cockpit door:
  • wait for a specified period of time (adjustable between 15 sec. and 2 min.) to simulate "no flight crew reaction"
  • the solenoids of the electrical release strikes 30MQ, 31MQ and 32MQ are de-energized
  • the cockpit door is in the UNLOCK condition for 5 seconds.

On the COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
NOTE: There are two standards of the control unit 24MQ:
P/N AR4709-1, 201 and AR4709-3, 7, 11, 101, 103, 203, 301 and 303
  • with P/N AR4709-1, 201, the OPEN and the FAULT lamps of the indication light 22MQ come on for 5 seconds
  • with P/N AR4709-3, 7, 11, 101, 103, 203, 301 and 303, the OPEN lamp of the indication light 22MQ comes on for 5 seconds.

On the key pad 25MQ:
  • the green LED comes on for 5 seconds.

In the cockpit:
  • the buzzer 23MQ at the cockpit ceiling 210RH stops.
2.At the cockpit door:
At the cockpit door:
  • open the cockpit door and close it again
  • the cockpit door moves in the open direction and back in its locked position.
3.On the key pad 25MQ:
In the cockpit:
  • enter the numerical emergency entry code and press the '#' pushbutton
  • the buzzer 23MQ at the cockpit ceiling panel operates.

On the COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
  • the OPEN lamp of the indication light 22MQ flashes.

On the key pad 25MQ:
  • the green LED flashes.
4.On the COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
At the cockpit door:
  • set and hold the toggle switch 26MQ to the UNLOCK position in a specified period of time (adjustable between 15 seconds and 2 minutes)
  • the electrical release strikes 30MQ, 31MQ and 32MQ are de-energized
  • the cockpit door is in the UNLOCK condition.

On the key pad 25MQ:
  • the green LED comes on.

In the cockpit:
  • the buzzer 23MQ at the cockpit ceiling panel stops.
5.At the cockpit door:
At the cockpit door:
  • open the cockpit door and close it again
  • the cockpit door moves in the open direction and back in its closed position.
6.On the COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
On the COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
  • release the toggle switch 26MQ
At the cockpit door:
  • the toggle switch 26MQ returns to the NORM position automatically.

At the cockpit door:
  • the solenoids of the electrical release strikes 30MQ, 31MQ and 32MQ are energized
  • the cockpit door is in the LOCK condition.
7.On the key pad 25MQ:
In the cockpit:
  • enter the numerical emergency entry code and press the '#' pushbutton
  • the buzzer 23MQ at the cockpit ceiling panel operates.

On the COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
  • the OPEN lamp of the indication light 22MQ flashes.

On the key pad 25MQ:
  • the green LED flashes
8.On the COCKPIT DOOR panel:
At the cockpit door:
  • set and hold the toggle switch 26MQ to the LOCK position in a specified period of time (adjustable between 15 seconds and 2 minutes)
NOTE: During this period of time the functions of the key pad and the buzzer are cancelled.
  • the solenoids of the electrical release strikes 30MQ, 31MQ and 32MQ stay energized
  • the cockpit door stays locked.

On the COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
  • the OPEN lamp of the indication light 22MQ goes off.

On the key pad 25MQ:
  • the green LED goes off
  • the red LED comes on.

On the COCKPIT DOOR panel 119VU:
  • release the toggle switch 26MQ
  • the toggle switch 26MQ returns to the NORM position automatically.

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
