A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
Subtask 49-91-48-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.

(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the ON position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the ON position.

A. Installation of the Oil Filler Cap
(2) If removed, install the roller (4), the washers (3), the bolt (5) and the nut (2).
(3) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 44 and 36 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.41 m.daN )

(4) If necessary, replace the oil filler cap (1) with a new one.
(a) Put the oil filler cap (1) in position in the oil filler.
(b) Install the washer (7), the bracket (8), the bolt (6) and the nut (9).
(c) TORQUE the nut (9) to between 44 and 36 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.41 m.daN )

(5) Fill the APU with oil (Ref. AMM TASK 49-90-00-600-007).
5. Close-upWARNING:
USE THE CORRECT PERSONAL PROTECTION.
OIL CAN HAVE ADDITIVE CALLED TRICRESYL PHOSPHATE IN IT. THIS CHEMICAL IS AN ASPHYXIANT, IT IS POISONOUS AND CAN BE ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKIN.
USE CARE WHEN ENGINE OIL IS DRAINED. HOT OIL CAN POSSIBLY CAUSE BAD BURNS.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE APU UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.(2) If removed, install the roller (4), the washers (3), the bolt (5) and the nut (2).
(3) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 44 and 36 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.41 m.daN )
. (4) If necessary, replace the oil filler cap (1) with a new one.
(a) Put the oil filler cap (1) in position in the oil filler.
(b) Install the washer (7), the bracket (8), the bolt (6) and the nut (9).
(c) TORQUE the nut (9) to between 44 and 36 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.41 m.daN )
. (5) Fill the APU with oil (Ref. AMM TASK 49-90-00-600-007).
Subtask 49-91-48-410-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 49-91-48-865-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
