A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7) Make sure that the LIGHT control SW 11LJ is in the ON position.
Subtask 49-52-51-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the ground service network

A. Installation of the Fan Assembly
(1) Examine the fan outlet duct (1) for damage. Replace the duct if necessary.
(2) Examine the fan inlet duct (12) for damage. Replace the duct if necessary.
(3) Examine the fan vanes for damage. Replace the fan if necessary.
(4) Examine the mounting flange for damage, if the APU flange is damaged, replace the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-11-11-000-004).
(5) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) to the new packings (5), (6) and (8).
(6) Install the new AIPC 49-52-09-01-100 PACKINGS (6) on the transfer tube (7).
(7) Install the transfer tube (7) on the fan (9).
(8) Install the new AIPC 49-21-09-03-070 PACKING (5) on the union (4).
(9) Install the union (4) on the fan (9).
(10) TORQUE the union (4) to between 1.77 and 1.45 m.daN (13.05 and 10.69 lbf.ft )

(11) Install the Primary Compressor Discharge (PCD) tube (2) on the union (4).
(12) TORQUE the nut of the PCD (2) to between 1.77 and 1.45 m.daN (13.05 and 10.69 lbf.ft )

(13) Install the new AIPC 49-52-09-01-080 PACKING (8) on the fan (9).
(14) Put the clamp (3) into position on the fan mounting flange.
(15) Install the fan (9) in the APU.
(17) TORQUE the clamp (3) to between 0.748 and 0.612 m.daN (66.19 and 54.16 lbf.in )

(18) Put the fan outlet duct (1) into position and install the clamp (10).
(19) TORQUE the clamp (10) to between 0.374 and 0.306 m.daN (33.10 and 27.08 lbf.in )

(20) Put the fan inlet duct (12) into position and install the clamps (11).
(21) TORQUE the clamps (11) to between 0.374 and 0.306 m.daN (33.10 and 27.08 lbf.in )

(8) Install the new AIPC 49-21-09-03-070 PACKING (5) on the union (4).
(9) Install the union (4) on the fan (9).
(10) TORQUE the union (4) to between 1.77 and 1.45 m.daN (13.05 and 10.69 lbf.ft )

(12) TORQUE the nut of the PCD (2) to between 1.77 and 1.45 m.daN (13.05 and 10.69 lbf.ft )
. (13) Install the new AIPC 49-52-09-01-080 PACKING (8) on the fan (9).
(14) Put the clamp (3) into position on the fan mounting flange.
(15) Install the fan (9) in the APU.
NOTE: Make sure that the alignment pin is engaged in the APU flange and the fan splined drive is fully engaged.
(16) Install the clamp (3). (17) TORQUE the clamp (3) to between 0.748 and 0.612 m.daN (66.19 and 54.16 lbf.in )
. (18) Put the fan outlet duct (1) into position and install the clamp (10).
(19) TORQUE the clamp (10) to between 0.374 and 0.306 m.daN (33.10 and 27.08 lbf.in )
. (20) Put the fan inlet duct (12) into position and install the clamps (11).
(21) TORQUE the clamps (11) to between 0.374 and 0.306 m.daN (33.10 and 27.08 lbf.in )
. CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE APU AIR INTAKE IS FULLY CLOSED TO MAKE SURE THAT THE SHUTDOWN OF THE APU WAS CORRECT. IF THE APU AIR INTAKE IS NOT FULLY CLOSED, OPERATE THE APU AT NO-LOAD FOR 5 MINUTES THEN DO A NORMAL SHUTDOWN.
B. Inspection Check NOTE: Oil level inspection and servicing should be checked not less than 15 minutes after the last shutdown. Do not re-service before the APU is operated again.
(1) Do a visual check of the oil quantity in the APU. Add oil if the oil level is on or less than the ADD mark on the sight glass. (Ref. AMM TASK 49-90-00-600-007)C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Do the operational test of the APU and do a leak test.
(1) Do the operational test of the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-710-010).
(2) During the operational test of the APU do a leak test of the accessory cooling system and make sure that the system operates correctly.

NOTE: No leaks are permitted.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control SW 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).

(2) Set the LIGHT control SW 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

(2) De-energize the ground service network
