Removal of the AFT Tie-Rods and Vibration Isolator (131-9(A))
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE APU UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
WARNING:
LOCK THE MECHANISM OF THE ACCESS DOOR 316AR WITH THE PIP PIN WHEN YOU OPEN THE ACCESS DOOR. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT REMOVE MORE THAN ONE APU MOUNT AT A TIME WHEN THE APU IS INSTALLED. THE APU HOIST AND THE REMAINING TWO MOUNTS MUST SUPPORT THE APU WHEN YOU REMOVE AN APU MOUNT.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3) Put the warning notices on panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

(2) On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.

(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE below the access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open or remove the APU access doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001) 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-21-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-22-000-001).
(3) Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the ON position.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE below the access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open or remove the APU access doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001) 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-21-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-22-000-001).
(3) Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the ON position.
Subtask 49-12-53-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Aft Vibration Isolator
(1) Install the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-480-003).
(2) Slowly wind the handle on the APU hoist until the APU hoist-cable is in tension.
(3) Remove the nut (9) and install the 98A49107504001 PROTECTOR-THREADS,APU MOUNTING BOLTS on the cone bolt.
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pins (3) and (5).
(5) Remove the castle nuts (2) and (6), the washers (1) and (7) and the bolts (4)) and (8).
(6) Remove the tie-rods (12) and (13) from the vibration isolator.
(7) Remove the vibration isolator (10) from the APU mount-bracket (11).
(8) If necessary remove the tie-rods (12) and/or (13).
(a) Remove the nuts (14), the washers (17) and the screws (16).
(b) Disconnect the bonding straps (15).
(c) Remove and discard the cotter pins (20).
(d) Remove the castle nuts (19), the washers (18) and the bolts (21).
(e) Remove the tie-rods (12) and/or (13).
(1) Install the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-480-003).
(2) Slowly wind the handle on the APU hoist until the APU hoist-cable is in tension.
(3) Remove the nut (9) and install the 98A49107504001 PROTECTOR-THREADS,APU MOUNTING BOLTS on the cone bolt.
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pins (3) and (5).
(5) Remove the castle nuts (2) and (6), the washers (1) and (7) and the bolts (4)) and (8).
(6) Remove the tie-rods (12) and (13) from the vibration isolator.
(7) Remove the vibration isolator (10) from the APU mount-bracket (11).
(8) If necessary remove the tie-rods (12) and/or (13).
(a) Remove the nuts (14), the washers (17) and the screws (16).
(b) Disconnect the bonding straps (15).
(c) Remove and discard the cotter pins (20).
(d) Remove the castle nuts (19), the washers (18) and the bolts (21).
(e) Remove the tie-rods (12) and/or (13).
