A. External Cleaning of the APU
(a) If you remove a component, identify the area.
(b) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(c) Prepare the cleaning solution as follows:
1 Maximum mix ratio: 1 part Aqueous Cleaner-Turbine Engine Gas Path - - (Material No.08AJA1) with 5 parts water.
(d) Clean the APU external surface using Aqueous Cleaner-Turbine Engine Gas Path - - (Material No.08AJA1) .
(e) Let the cleaning agent soak on the surface for a maximum of 20 minutes.
(f) Flush the APU external surface with clean water to remove the remaining cleaning agent.
(g) Dry the APU external surface with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(h) Do an inspection of the APU external surface after the cleaning procedure. Do the process again as necessary.
(2) Cleaning of the APU and/or air intake system with steam:
(a) If you remove a component, identify the area.
(b) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
