(2) Remove and discard the safety cable (1).
(3) Loosen the support link locknut (2).
(4) Turn the support-link end shank (3) in increments of 180 deg (180 deg) to the necessary length:
(a) Turn the support-link end shank (3) not more than the maximum support link length. You can see two to five threads aft of the locknut and threads in the witness hole.
(5) TORQUE the locknut (2) to between 126 and 114 lbf.in (1.42 and 1.29 m.daN )

(6) Install theCPNCL02691 LOCKWIRE (M50 TF 9 CI-A-DIA 0.8 mm (0.031 in.)) or CPNCL02150 Lockwire A (AIA/NAS NASM20995C32) or SAFETY CABLE KIT (Material No.CPNCL02774) or Wire - LOCKWIRE STAINLSS STL ANNEALED 0.8MM DIA (Material No.CPNCL02145) in the locknut (2).
(7) Install the support link (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-400-827).

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch is in the OFF position for a minimum of five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton-switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 36-11-49-865-267-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser (T/R) System for the Nacelle Maintenance
Subtask 36-11-49-010-336-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the T/R system for the nacelle maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807)E. Get Access
(1) Open the T/R cowl doors:
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)
451AL and 452AR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806).
(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)
461AL and 462AR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
(3) Install the protection covers:

CAUTION:
INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a) Install the COVER - PROTECTION in the correct position to prevent damage to the engine.Subtask 36-11-49-820-060-A
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
A. Adjustment of the ECS Support Link.NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the support links for which the adjustment is recommended, (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-400-827).
(1) Remove the support link (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-000-827).(2) Remove and discard the safety cable (1).
(3) Loosen the support link locknut (2).
(4) Turn the support-link end shank (3) in increments of 180 deg (180 deg) to the necessary length:
