WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE BALLAST UNIT AND THE WIRING CORRECTLY. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE WIRING AND ALL DANGER OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK.
Subtask 33-24-11-420-060-A A. Installation of the Ballast Unit with Lampholder and the Fluorescent Tube
(1) Install the ballast unit with lampholder (2):
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(c) Install the ballast unit with lampholder (2) on the lavatory structure with the washers (8) and the screws (7).
(d) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(2) Install the fluorescent tube (4):
(a) Insert the fluorescent tube (4) between the slide-button (3) and the end of the ballast unit with lampholder (2).
(b) Install the fluorescent lamp cover (5).
(c) If installed, engage the quick release fasteners (6).
Subtask 33-24-11-861-056-A Subtask 33-24-11-865-081-A (1) Install the ballast unit with lampholder (2):
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(c) Install the ballast unit with lampholder (2) on the lavatory structure with the washers (8) and the screws (7).
(d) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION:
REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES.
INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(e) Cut and discard the ends of the electrical connections (1). CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(f) Connect the electrical connectors (1). (2) Install the fluorescent tube (4):
(a) Insert the fluorescent tube (4) between the slide-button (3) and the end of the ballast unit with lampholder (2).
(b) Install the fluorescent lamp cover (5).
(c) If installed, engage the quick release fasteners (6).
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Operational Test
(1) Do the test of the ballast unit and the lampholder:
(a) On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, push the LIGHT MAIN ON/OFF pushbutton.
(b) On FAP 120RH, push the Lav Power/Lav Maint pushbutton.
(c) Make sure that the lavatory light comes on.
Subtask 33-24-11-710-057-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do the test of the ballast unit and the lampholder:
(a) On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, push the LIGHT MAIN ON/OFF pushbutton.
(b) On FAP 120RH, push the Lav Power/Lav Maint pushbutton.
(c) Make sure that the lavatory light comes on.
D. Operational Test
(1) Do the test of the ballast unit and the lampholder:
(a) On Forward Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, push the membrane switch MAIN ON.
(b) On FAP 120RH, push the Lav Power/Lav Maint pushbutton.
(c) Make sure that the lavatory light comes on.
5. Close-up(1) Do the test of the ballast unit and the lampholder:
(a) On Forward Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, push the membrane switch MAIN ON.
(b) On FAP 120RH, push the Lav Power/Lav Maint pushbutton.
(c) Make sure that the lavatory light comes on.
