A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Pull the STANDBY COMPASS out.

A. Operational Test of the Instrument and Panel Integral Lighting
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the INT LT section of the overhead control and indicating panel 25VU:
  • Set the ICE IND & STBY COMPASS selector switch to the on position.
In zone 210:
  • The integral lighting of the standby compass comes on with maximum intensity.
  • Set the selector switch to OFF.
  • The integral lighting of the standby compass goes off.
2.On the FLOOD LT/INTEG LT panel 111VU:
  • Turn the INTEG LT/MAIN PNL & PED potentiometer from OFF to BRT.
On the main instrument panels (Captain and F/O), the center instrument panel, the center pedestal and the side consoles:
  • The instrument and panel integral lighting becomes brighter.
  • Turn the potentiometer from BRT to OFF.
  • The instrument and panel integral lighting becomes dimmer.
3.On the INT LT section of the overhead control and indicating panel 25VU:
  • Turn the OVHD INTEG LT potentiometer from OFF to BRT.
On the overhead panel:
  • The integral lighting becomes brighter.
  • Turn the potentiometer from BRT to OFF.
  • The integral lighting becomes dimmer.
4.Under the glareshield 13VU, on the center main-instrument-panel light:
  • Turn the FLOOD LT and INT LT potentiometers.
On the glareshield and the FCU:
  • The integral lighting becomes brighter.
  • Turn the potentiometers to their initial position.
  • The integral lighting becomes dimmer.

ACTION
RESULT
1.On the panel 25VU:
  • Set the ICE IND & STBY COMPASS selector switch to ON.
In zone 210:
  • The integral lighting of the standby compass comes on with maximum intensity.
  • Set the selector switch to the off position.
  • The integral lighting of the standby compass goes off.
2.On the panel 111VU:
  • Turn the INTEG LT/MAIN PNL & PED potentiometer from OFF to BRT.
On the main instrument panels (Captain and F/O), the center instrument panel, the center pedestal and the side consoles:
  • The instrument and panel integral-lighting becomes brighter when you turn the potentiometer to BRT.
  • Turn the potentiometer from BRT to OFF.
  • The instrument and panel integral-lighting becomes dimmer.
3.On the panel 25VU:
  • Turn the OVHD INTEG LT potentiometer from OFF to BRT.
On the overhead panel:
  • The integral lighting becomes brighter when you turn the potentiometer to BRT.
  • Turn the potentiometer from BRT to OFF.
  • The integral lighting becomes dimmer.
4.Under the glareshield 13VU, on the center main-instrument-panel light:
  • Turn the FLOOD LT and INT LT potentiometers.
On the glareshield and the FCU:
  • The integral lighting becomes brighter when you turn the potentiometers.
  • Turn the potentiometers to their initial position.
  • The integral lighting becomes dimmer.
5. Close-up
Subtask 33-13-00-860-050-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Push the STANDBY COMPASS back to its initial position.
   (2) Put the system back to the serviceable condition.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
