A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On panel 400VU:
  • Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever is in the DOWN position
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

NOTE: You must do step (1) or step (2).
   (1) LGCIU 1 configuration:

1.Get access to the L/G page on the MCDU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-009).
  • The MCDU shows the L/G menu.
2.On panel 121VU, open circuit breakers 2GA and 59GA.

3.Push the LGCIU 1 pushbutton switch.
  • The MCDU shows the LGCIU menu.
4.Push the NEXT PAGE pushbutton switch.
  • The MCDU shows LANDING GEAR SIMULATION on the menu.
5.Push the LANDING GEAR SIMULATION pushbutton switch.
  • The MCDU shows the LANDING GEAR SIMULATION page.
6.Push the applicable L/G(s) pushbutton switch.
  • The MCDU shows the applicable L/G(s) page.
7.Push the applicable pushbutton switch (EXTENDED or UPLOCKED).
  • The applicable '<' goes off (flight simulated).


   (2) LGCIU 1 and LGCIU 2 configurations:

1.Get access to the L/G page on the MCDU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-009).
  • The MCDU shows the L/G menu.
2.Push the LGCIU 2 pushbutton switch.
  • The MCDU shows the LGCIU menu.
3.Push the NEXT PAGE pushbutton switch.
  • The MCDU shows LANDING GEAR SIMULATION on the menu.
4.Push the LANDING GEAR SIMULATION pushbutton switch.
  • The MCDU shows the LANDING GEAR SIMULATION page.
5.Push the applicable L/G(s) pushbutton switch.
  • The MCDU shows the applicable L/G(s) page.
6.Push the applicable pushbutton switch (EXTENDED or UPLOCKED).
  • The applicable '<' goes off (flight simulated).


NOTE: When the LGCIU circuit breakers are opened, the fuel used indication shown on the ENG page and the FUEL USED page will change to 'degraded' mode. The fuel used indication will show as dashes. It is necessary to start the engines to show the correct display of the fuel used indication.

A. Aircraft Configuration
   (1) On the MCDU:
  • Push (in) the RETURN P/BSW until the CFDS MENU is shown
  • Push (in) the MCDU MENU P/BSW
  • Set the BRT switch to OFF position.
   (2) Close the circuit breakers 2GA and 59GA on panel 121VU.
   (3) Do the ground configuration after flight configuration procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).

B. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
