Removal of the Non-TPIS Kit

MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
(3) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
Subtask 32-49-51-860-053-A (1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
- In the cockpit, on the right center instrument panel 400VU, to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
- On the steering handwheel (CAPT and F/O) and on the brake pedals, to tell persons not to operate them .
(3) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) De-energized the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(2) On the parking brake panel 110VU, make sure that the PARK BRK control switch is in the OFF position.
(3) Make sure that the wheel chocks are in position.
(4) Lift the aircraft at the forward jacking point (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(5) Remove the NLG wheels (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-12-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) De-energized the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(2) On the parking brake panel 110VU, make sure that the PARK BRK control switch is in the OFF position.
(3) Make sure that the wheel chocks are in position.
(4) Lift the aircraft at the forward jacking point (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(5) Remove the NLG wheels (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-12-000-001).
Subtask 32-49-51-020-051-A
A. Removal of the Non-TPIS Kit
(1) Remove the plug (3) of the 701VC connector of the 1M upper electrical harness:
(a) Remove the nut (1) and the bolt (2) that attach the tab of the plug (3).
(b) Remove the plug (3).
(c) Install the bolt (2) and the nut (1).
(d) Tighten the nut (1).
(e) Install a CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connector.
(2) Disconnect the rod (28).
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (29).
(b) Remove the nut (30), the washer (31) and the bolt (33).
(c) Disconnect the rod (28) from the support (32).
(3) Remove the bolt (10):
(a) For single-linkage version:
1 Remove and discard the nut (6).
2 Remove the washer (7) and the spacer (5).
3 Hold the casing (9) in position and remove the bolt (10) and the lockwasher (4).
4 Remove the second spacer (5).
(b) For dual-linkage version:
1 Remove and discard the nut (6).
2 Remove the washer (7), the spacer (5) and the spacer (8).
3 Hold the casing (9) in position and remove the bolt (10) and the lockwasher (4).
4 Remove the second spacer (5) and the second spacer (8).
(4) Remove the casing (9).
(a) Release and remove the screw (11).
(b) Remove and discard the lockwasher (12).
(c) Lift the casing (9) and disengage it from the pin (13).
(d) Remove the casing (9).
(5) Remove the blanking plug (15) from the torque link pin (14) of the leg structure:
(a) Remove and discard the nut (16).
(b) Remove the washer (17) from the pin (13).
(c) Remove the pin (13).
(d) Remove the blanking cap (15) from the torque link pin (14).
(f) Apply a thin layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the pin (13).
(g) Align the holes with the tool J47125 and engage the pin (13).
(h) Install the washer (17) and the new AIPC 32-21-11-43-010 NUT (16) or AIPC 32-21-11-23-010 NUT (16).
(i) Tighten the nut (16).
(j) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) on the interface between the pin (13) and the gear leg.
(k) Put the casing (9) in position on the pin (13).
(l) Install the screw (11) and the new AIPC 32-21-11-51-470 LOCKWASHER (12) or AIPC 32-21-11-11-080 LOCKWASHER (12) or AIPC 32-21-11-91-470 LOCKWASHER (12) or AIPC 32-21-11-11-080 LOCKWASHER (12).
(m) Tighten the screw (11) and safety it with the lockwasher (12).
(n) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) around the nut (16).
(6) Connect the rod (28).
(a) Connect the rod (28) to the support (32).
(b) Install the bolt (33), the washer (31) and the nut (30).
(c) Tighten the nut (30) and safety it with the new AIPC 32-21-11-52-080 COTTER PIN (29) or AIPC 32-21-11-12-080 COTTER PIN (29).
(7) Remove the bushes (27) from the wheel axle ends.
(a) Remove and discard the four cotter pins (23).
(b) Remove the four nuts (24) and the four washers (25).
(c) Remove and discard the four bolts (26).
(d) Remove the bushes (27).
(8) Remove the plug (22) from the TPIS harness installation-hole in the shock absorber:
(a) Remove the sealant between the sliding rod and the plug (22) with a SPATULA - NON METALLIC.
(b) Remove the cotter pin (19) and the nut (20).
(c) Discard the cotter pin (19).
(d) Remove the washer (21).
(e) Remove the bolt (18), the second washer (21) and the plug (22).
(1) Remove the plug (3) of the 701VC connector of the 1M upper electrical harness:
(a) Remove the nut (1) and the bolt (2) that attach the tab of the plug (3).
(b) Remove the plug (3).
(c) Install the bolt (2) and the nut (1).
(d) Tighten the nut (1).
(e) Install a CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connector.
(2) Disconnect the rod (28).
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (29).
(b) Remove the nut (30), the washer (31) and the bolt (33).
(c) Disconnect the rod (28) from the support (32).
(3) Remove the bolt (10):
(a) For single-linkage version:
1 Remove and discard the nut (6).
2 Remove the washer (7) and the spacer (5).
3 Hold the casing (9) in position and remove the bolt (10) and the lockwasher (4).
4 Remove the second spacer (5).
(b) For dual-linkage version:
1 Remove and discard the nut (6).
2 Remove the washer (7), the spacer (5) and the spacer (8).
3 Hold the casing (9) in position and remove the bolt (10) and the lockwasher (4).
4 Remove the second spacer (5) and the second spacer (8).
(4) Remove the casing (9).
(a) Release and remove the screw (11).
(b) Remove and discard the lockwasher (12).
(c) Lift the casing (9) and disengage it from the pin (13).
(d) Remove the casing (9).
(5) Remove the blanking plug (15) from the torque link pin (14) of the leg structure:
(a) Remove and discard the nut (16).
(b) Remove the washer (17) from the pin (13).
(c) Remove the pin (13).
(d) Remove the blanking cap (15) from the torque link pin (14).
NOTE: The torque link pin (14) must stay in position during the removal of the blanking cap (15).
(e) Clean the pin (13) with Non Aqueous Cleaner_- Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone - (Material No.08BBF1) and dry it with AIR SOURCE FILTERED, DRY. (f) Apply a thin layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the pin (13).
(g) Align the holes with the tool J47125 and engage the pin (13).
(h) Install the washer (17) and the new AIPC 32-21-11-43-010 NUT (16) or AIPC 32-21-11-23-010 NUT (16).
(i) Tighten the nut (16).
(j) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) on the interface between the pin (13) and the gear leg.
(k) Put the casing (9) in position on the pin (13).
(l) Install the screw (11) and the new AIPC 32-21-11-51-470 LOCKWASHER (12) or AIPC 32-21-11-11-080 LOCKWASHER (12) or AIPC 32-21-11-91-470 LOCKWASHER (12) or AIPC 32-21-11-11-080 LOCKWASHER (12).
(m) Tighten the screw (11) and safety it with the lockwasher (12).
(n) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) around the nut (16).
(6) Connect the rod (28).
(a) Connect the rod (28) to the support (32).
(b) Install the bolt (33), the washer (31) and the nut (30).
(c) Tighten the nut (30) and safety it with the new AIPC 32-21-11-52-080 COTTER PIN (29) or AIPC 32-21-11-12-080 COTTER PIN (29).
(7) Remove the bushes (27) from the wheel axle ends.
(a) Remove and discard the four cotter pins (23).
(b) Remove the four nuts (24) and the four washers (25).
(c) Remove and discard the four bolts (26).
(d) Remove the bushes (27).
(8) Remove the plug (22) from the TPIS harness installation-hole in the shock absorber:
(a) Remove the sealant between the sliding rod and the plug (22) with a SPATULA - NON METALLIC.
(b) Remove the cotter pin (19) and the nut (20).
(c) Discard the cotter pin (19).
(d) Remove the washer (21).
(e) Remove the bolt (18), the second washer (21) and the plug (22).
