3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-31-00-941-096-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On panel 400VU:
  • make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
   (4) On the panel 110VU, make sure that the GRAVITY GEAR EXT handle is folded into the center console.

B. Get Access
   (1) FOR [2501GM] (LEG ASSY-MLG, L), [2502GM] (LEG ASSY-MLG, R)
Open the main gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) FOR [2526GM] , [2881GM] (LEG ASSY-NLG,NON-CUSTOMIZED)
Open the nose gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
   (3) Install the safety devices on the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
   (4) FOR [2501GM] (LEG ASSY-MLG, L), [2502GM] (LEG ASSY-MLG, R)
Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below applicable zone 147 (148).
   (5) FOR [2526GM] , [2881GM] (LEG ASSY-NLG,NON-CUSTOMIZED)
Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below zone 123.

C. Clean the Inspection Area
   (1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the areas of inspection.
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-31-00-210-066-A
A. General Visual Inspection of the Landing Gear Extension and Retraction System Components
   (1) In the nose gear well (zone 123), do a general visual inspection of the:
  • NLG vent valve (2532GM)
  • NLG door by-pass valve (2533GM)
  • NLG uplock actuator (part of NLG uplock assembly (2530GM))
  • NLG door uplock actuator (part of NLG door uplock assembly (2534GM)).
     (a) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion, cracks, leaks or damage.
     (b) Make sure that all the installations (wiring, ducting and piping) are attached correctly.
   (2) In the main gear well and hydraulic compartment (zone 148), do a general visual inspection of the:
  • Selector valve manifold (2524GM), that includes gear selector valve (40GA) and door selector valve (41GA)
  • Free-fall cut-out valve (2515GM)
  • Safety valve (49GA)
  • MLG door ground-opening by-pass valve (2518GM)
  • MLG uplock actuator (part of MLG uplock assembly (2510GM))
  • MLG door uplock actuator (part of MLG door uplock assembly (2520GM)).
     (a) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion, cracks, leaks or damage.
     (b) Make sure that all the installations (wiring, ducting and piping) are attached correctly.
   (3) In the main gear well and hydraulic compartment (zone 147), do a general visual inspection of the:
  • MLG vent valve (2516GM)
  • MLG door ground-opening by-pass valve (2517GM)
  • MLG uplock actuator (part of MLG uplock assembly (2509GM))
  • MLG door uplock actuator (part of MLG door uplock assembly (2521GM)).
     (a) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion, cracks, leaks or damage.
     (b) Make sure that all the installations (wiring, ducting and piping) are attached correctly.
5. Close-up
Subtask 32-31-00-410-079-A
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the safety devices from the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-081-002).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) FOR [2501GM] (LEG ASSY-MLG, L), [2502GM] (LEG ASSY-MLG, R)
Close the main gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
   (5) FOR [2526GM] , [2881GM] (LEG ASSY-NLG,NON-CUSTOMIZED)
Close the nose gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).

B. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
