WARNING:

WARNING:

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:

(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:
- make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
B. Get Access
(1) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position:
Subtask 32-31-00-110-053-A (1) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position:
- For the MLG, below zones 731 and 741
- For the NLG, below zone 711.
C. Clean the Inspection Area
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean and dry:

- the areas to be examined around the MLG uplocks, door uplocks and pins
- the areas to be examined around the NLG uplock, door uplock and rollers.

A. Detailed Inspection of the Gear Uplock and the Door Uplock Units and the Rollers
(1) Do an inspection of the MLG uplocks and the door uplocks as follows:
(a) Examine the MLG uplocks, the door uplocks and their related mounting brackets for damage, cracks and corrosion.
(b) Examine the uplock hooks and the guide plates for damage, cracks and corrosion.
(c) Examine the protective finish for damage.
(d) Make sure that the MLG uplocks, the door uplocks and their related mounting brackets are correctly installed and safetied.
(e) Examine the hydraulic connections to the uplock actuator assemblies for damage and oil leaks.
(f) Examine the strut assemblies for damage, cracks and corrosion.
(g) Make sure that the strut assemblies are correctly installed and safetied.
(h) Examine the proximity sensors to make sure they are correctly installed and safetied.
(i) Examine the proximity sensor cables and the electrical connectors for damage and make sure they are correctly installed.
(j) Examine the identification plates and labels on the MLG uplocks and the door uplocks to make sure they are correctly installed.
(k) Make sure the bonding straps are correctly installed.
(2) Do an inspection of the MLG leg and the door uplock pins as follows:
(b) Examine the protective finish of the MLG leg uplock pins and the adjacent area for cracks and corrosion.
(c) Examine the MLG door uplock pins for damage, wear, cracks and corrosion.
(d) Make sure that the uplock-pin mounting brackets are correctly installed.
(e) Examine the MLG door around the uplock-pin mounting brackets for delamination of the door structure, damage and cracks.
(3) Do an inspection of the NLG uplock and door uplock as follows:
(a) Examine the NLG uplock, door uplock and their related mounting brackets for damage, cracks and corrosion.
(b) Examine the uplock hooks for wear.
(c) Examine the protective finish for damage.
(d) Make sure that the NLG uplock, the door uplock and their related mounting brackets are correctly installed and safetied.
(e) Examine the hydraulic connections to the uplock actuator-assemblies for damage and oil leaks.
(f) Examine the proximity sensors to make sure they are correctly installed and safetied.
(g) Examine the proximity sensor cables and electrical connectors for damage and make sure they are correctly installed.
(h) Examine the identification plates and labels on the NLG uplock and the door uplocks to make sure they are correctly installed.
(a) Examine the NLG uplock roller and the door uplock roller for signs of damage, wear, cracks and corrosion.
(b) Examine the protective finish of the drag strut assembly and the forestay for damage, cracks and corrosion.
(c) Examine the bellcrank mountings, the uplock rollers and shouldered bushes for damage, cracks, dents, wear and corrosion.
(5) If damage is found, refer to the CMMs that follow for the damage limits and the repair procedures:
5. Close-up(1) Do an inspection of the MLG uplocks and the door uplocks as follows:
(a) Examine the MLG uplocks, the door uplocks and their related mounting brackets for damage, cracks and corrosion.
(b) Examine the uplock hooks and the guide plates for damage, cracks and corrosion.
(c) Examine the protective finish for damage.
(d) Make sure that the MLG uplocks, the door uplocks and their related mounting brackets are correctly installed and safetied.
(e) Examine the hydraulic connections to the uplock actuator assemblies for damage and oil leaks.
(f) Examine the strut assemblies for damage, cracks and corrosion.
(g) Make sure that the strut assemblies are correctly installed and safetied.
(h) Examine the proximity sensors to make sure they are correctly installed and safetied.
(i) Examine the proximity sensor cables and the electrical connectors for damage and make sure they are correctly installed.
(j) Examine the identification plates and labels on the MLG uplocks and the door uplocks to make sure they are correctly installed.
(k) Make sure the bonding straps are correctly installed.
(2) Do an inspection of the MLG leg and the door uplock pins as follows:
NOTE: To get access to the MLG leg uplock pins, it can be necessary to move the access platform.
(a) Examine the MLG leg uplock pins and the adjacent area for damage, wear, cracks and corrosion. (b) Examine the protective finish of the MLG leg uplock pins and the adjacent area for cracks and corrosion.
(c) Examine the MLG door uplock pins for damage, wear, cracks and corrosion.
(d) Make sure that the uplock-pin mounting brackets are correctly installed.
(e) Examine the MLG door around the uplock-pin mounting brackets for delamination of the door structure, damage and cracks.
(3) Do an inspection of the NLG uplock and door uplock as follows:
(a) Examine the NLG uplock, door uplock and their related mounting brackets for damage, cracks and corrosion.
(b) Examine the uplock hooks for wear.
(c) Examine the protective finish for damage.
(d) Make sure that the NLG uplock, the door uplock and their related mounting brackets are correctly installed and safetied.
(e) Examine the hydraulic connections to the uplock actuator-assemblies for damage and oil leaks.
(f) Examine the proximity sensors to make sure they are correctly installed and safetied.
(g) Examine the proximity sensor cables and electrical connectors for damage and make sure they are correctly installed.
(h) Examine the identification plates and labels on the NLG uplock and the door uplocks to make sure they are correctly installed.
NOTE: It is only possible to examine the identification plates and labels on the uplocks with the part numbers that follow:
(4) Do an inspection of the NLG uplock roller and the door uplock roller as follows: - On the NLG uplock Part No. C24730001-8 and subsequent
- On the door uplock Part No. C24730100-2 and subsequent.
(a) Examine the NLG uplock roller and the door uplock roller for signs of damage, wear, cracks and corrosion.
(b) Examine the protective finish of the drag strut assembly and the forestay for damage, cracks and corrosion.
(c) Examine the bellcrank mountings, the uplock rollers and shouldered bushes for damage, cracks, dents, wear and corrosion.
(5) If damage is found, refer to the CMMs that follow for the damage limits and the repair procedures:
- For the MLG uplock

A. Close Access
(1) Remove the safety devices from the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-081-002).
(2) Close the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).
(3) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
Subtask 32-31-00-942-052-A (1) Remove the safety devices from the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-081-002).
(2) Close the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).
(3) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
B. Removal of Equipment
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
