A. Removal of the Safety Devices from the Landing Gear Doors
(1) Make sure that the landing gear and doors are safe and in a serviceable condition (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-003).
(2) On the panel 400VU:
(4) Remove the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK from the actuating cylinder of each MLG door.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the landing gear and doors are safe and in a serviceable condition (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-003).
(2) On the panel 400VU:
- make sure that the landing-gear control lever 6GA is in the DOWN position and the gear is downlocked
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(4) Remove the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK from the actuating cylinder of each MLG door.

A. Put the Aircraft back to the Normal Configuration
(2) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001).
(3) Close the landing gear doors:
(b) All the doors will close.
(4) Put the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle in the stowed position.
(5) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001) for access.
(6) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001) for access.
(7) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(8) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) below the applicable component that you will examine.
(9) Make sure that the rigging pin holes on these components are aligned:
(12) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(13) Close the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).
5. Close-upWARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE ACTUATING CYLINDERS OF THE LANDING GEAR LOCK-STAYS. MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
(1) Make sure that the travel ranges of the landing gear doors are clear. (2) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001).
(3) Close the landing gear doors:
CAUTION:
DO NOT TURN THE GRAVITY GEAR EXTENSION HANDLE MORE THAN 3 FULL TURNS. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FREE FALL EXTENSION SYSTEM.
(a) Turn the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle counterclockwise three full turns at a rate of one full turn at an interval of five seconds. (b) All the doors will close.
(4) Put the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle in the stowed position.
(5) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001) for access.
(6) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001) for access.
(7) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(8) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) below the applicable component that you will examine.
(9) Make sure that the rigging pin holes on these components are aligned:
- the three landing gear uplocks
- the three landing gear door uplocks
- the two landing gear vent valves
- the landing gear cut-out valve.
- for the NLG, adjust the NLG mechanical system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-00-820-002)
- for the MLG, adjust the MLG mechanical system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-00-820-004).
(12) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(13) Close the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).
