A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

Subtask 31-32-00-860-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Prepare the media disk(s).
(1) Get the media disk(s) with the maintenance filter data-base.
(a) If the media disk(s) is (are) not available or not the correct one(s), contact your Airline Engineering department to get the correct maintenance filter data-base applicable to the aircraft.
(2) Prepare the maintenance filter data base with the 99D31303000003 MAINTENANCE FILTER TOOL99D31303000004 MAINTENANCE FILTER TOOL99D31303000005 MAINTENANCE FILTER TOOL.
(3) On the YV68A110 PORTABLE DATA LOADER, make sure that the ON/OFF switch is set to OFF.
(4) On center pedestal panel 11VU, on DATA LOADER panel 117VU:
(a) Loosen the two middle quick-release fasteners of the access cover and remove it.

(5) Connect the cable of the PDL to the DATA LOADER connector.
(6) Open circuit breaker 2TW.
(7) Close circuit breaker 2TW.

D. Make sure that the aircraft is in the ground configuration:

E. Do a Check of the Part Number of the Maintenance Filter Data-Base Uploaded in the Centralized Fault Display Interface Unit (CFDIU).
(1) Get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/INST menu page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-008).
(2) Do a check of the maintenance-filter data-base number.

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the MCDU: Push the line key adjacent to the CFDIU indication.	On the MCDU: The CFDIU menu page comes into view.
On the MCDU: Push the line key adjacent to the LRU IDENTIFICATION indication.	- The CFDIU LRU IDENTIFICATION page comes into view with the data base number adjacent to the DB/N indication.

(3) Record the data base number given on the CFDIU LRU IDENTIFICATION page.

4. Procedure
Subtask 31-32-00-970-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Uploading of the Maintenance Filter Data Base to the CFDIU with the PDL (SFIM)

NOTE: The status of the filter function (activated/deactivated) does not change when a new filter is loaded into the CFDIU.

NOTE: To activate/deactivate the PFR filter, you can do the applicable procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-600-002).

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the PDL: Set the ON/OFF switch to ON.	On the PDL: The < < MDDU READY > > or the < < UNIT READY > > indication comes into view.
2.On the PDL: Put the media disk(s) of the maintenance filter data base into the media disk drive.	The < < MDDU READY > > or the < < UNIT READY > > indication comes into view. Then the WAIT RESPONSE indication comes into view. After that, the TRANSF IN PROG indication comes into view. When all the data is loaded in the CFDIU, the TRANSF COMPLETE indication comes into view.
3.If the WAIT RESPONSE indication is shown continuously on the PDL: Open circuit breaker 3TD. Remove the media disk(s) from the media disk drive of the PDL. On the center pedestal, disconnect the cable of the portable data loader from the DATA LOADER connector. After one minute, connect the cable of the PDL to the DATA LOADER connector. Close circuit breaker 3TD. Do step 2. again.
4.Remove the media disk from the media disk drive of the PDL.	The < < MDDU READY > > or the < < UNIT READY > > indication comes into view.

NOTE: The uploaded operation is satisfactory when:

The TRANSF COMPLETE indication is shown on the PDL.
You get an automatic print-out of the uploaded data base (it is possible that you do not get a full print-out: some data and/or pages can be missing).

Subtask 31-32-00-280-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Check for Correct Data Transfer
(1) On one MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/INST menu page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-008).
(2) Do a check of the identification of the loader media disk(s).

ACTION	RESULT
On the MCDU: Push the line key adjacent to the CFDIU indication.	On the MCDU: The CFDIU menu page comes into view.
Push the line key adjacent to the LRU IDENTIFICATION indication.	The CFDIU LRU IDENTIFICATION page comes into view with the data base number adjacent to the DB/N indication.

(3) Make sure that the data base number shown on the CFDIU LRU IDENTIFICATION page is different from the data base number that you recorded.

5. Close-up
Subtask 31-32-00-860-103-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) On the MCDU, push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication untilthe CFDS MENU page comes into view.
(2) Set the BRT knob to OFF.

B. Disconnect the PDL
(1) On the PDL, set the ON/OFF switch to OFF.
(2) On the center pedestal, disconnect the cable of the PDL from the DATA LOADER connector.
(3) Install the cover on DATA LOADER panel 117VU.

C. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
