A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
Subtask 31-17-11-865-051-A (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below aft cargo-compartment door 826.
(2) Make sure that aft cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below aft cargo-compartment door 826.
(2) Make sure that aft cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
Subtask 31-17-11-420-050-A
A. Installation of Control Panel 2024VU
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Install the new AIPC 31-17-04-20-070 GASKET (3) on the control panel (4).
(6) Carefully hold the control panel (4) and connect the electrical connector (1) to the control panel (4).
(7) Put and hold the control panel (4) and the gasket (3) in position on the structure (2).
(8) Install the washers (6) and the screws (5).
(9) Tighten the screws (5).
Subtask 31-17-11-865-052-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Install the new AIPC 31-17-04-20-070 GASKET (3) on the control panel (4).
(6) Carefully hold the control panel (4) and connect the electrical connector (1) to the control panel (4).
(7) Put and hold the control panel (4) and the gasket (3) in position on the structure (2).
(8) Install the washers (6) and the screws (5).
(9) Tighten the screws (5).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Operational Tests
(1) In the aft cargo compartment, on control panel 2024VU:
(a) Do an operational test of the lights from the aft cargo compartment:
1 Set switch 8LU to on.
2 Make sure that the lights from the aft cargo compartment come on.
3 Set switch 8LU to off.
4 Make sure that the lights from from the aft cargo compartment go off.
(b) If applicable, do a test of socket 20ME:
1 If necessary, lift the cover of socket 20ME.
2 Measure the output voltage with the MULTIMETER - STANDARD between the contacts + and N on socket 20ME.
3 Make sure that the output voltage is 115VAC.
4 If necessary, lower the cover of socket 20ME.
5. Close-up(1) In the aft cargo compartment, on control panel 2024VU:
(a) Do an operational test of the lights from the aft cargo compartment:
1 Set switch 8LU to on.
2 Make sure that the lights from the aft cargo compartment come on.
3 Set switch 8LU to off.
4 Make sure that the lights from from the aft cargo compartment go off.
(b) If applicable, do a test of socket 20ME:
1 If necessary, lift the cover of socket 20ME.
2 Measure the output voltage with the MULTIMETER - STANDARD between the contacts + and N on socket 20ME.
3 Make sure that the output voltage is 115VAC.
4 If necessary, lower the cover of socket 20ME.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration
(1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
