(b) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the forward cargo-compartment door.
(c) Set cargo-compartment light switch 6LU to the ON position.
(d) Remove sidewall panel 132JW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(2) For control unit 35DU:
(a) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(b) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the aft cargo-compartment door.
(c) Set cargo-compartment light switch 8LU to the ON position.
(d) Remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).

(b) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the ON position.
(c) Remove the sidewall panel 132KW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(2) For the control unit 80DU:
(a) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
(c) Remove the sidewall panel 152FW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-003).

(b) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE below the aft cargo-compartment door.
(c) Set cargo-compartment light switch 8LU to ON.
(d) Remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).

A. Do this test.

NOTE: Control unit 3DW controls and monitors heaters of the potable-water ice-protection (HTR I/II) and of the waste-water ice-protection (HTR III/IV). The result of HTR I/II is shown in parentheses, because the primary function of this test is the waste-water ice protection system.

ACTION	RESULT
1.On control unit 3DW: Push and hold the TEST pushbutton.	On control unit 3DW: The green LED III/IV (I/II) comes on.
Release the TEST pushbutton.	The green LED III/IV (I/II) goes off.

A. Do this test:

NOTE: The primary function of this test is to do an operational check of the waste-water ice-protection system. The test results related to the heaters of the potable-water ice-protection system are shown in parentheses. The below control units are used to control and monitor the heaters:

For potable-water ice-protection system 3DW
For waste-water ice-protection system 3DW and 35DU.

ACTION	RESULT
1.On control unit 3DW: Push and hold the TEST pushbutton switch.	On control unit 3DW: The green LED III/IV (I/II) comes on.
Release the TEST pushbutton switch.	The green LED III/IV (I/II) goes off.
2.On control unit 35DU: Push and hold the TEST pushbutton switch.	On control unit 35DU: The green LED I/II and III/IV comes on.
