CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
A. Removal of the Forward Air-Intake Anti-Ice Valve (forward anti-ice valve)
NOTE: This valve is also known as Pressure Regulating Shutoff valve 2 (PRSOV2).
NOTE: Put protection caps on all disconnected electrical connectors and all electrical receptacles.
NOTE: Put protection caps on all open ports, tubes and hoses.
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connector (6) from the forward anti-ice valve (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).

POST SB LEAP-1A 72-0292

   (2) Remove the bolt (7) from the clamp (8).
   (3) Remove the electrical harness (4) from the clamp (8).

END POST SB LEAP-1A 72-0292

   (4) Remove the electrical harness (3) and the electrical harness (4) from the spring clips (5).
   (5) Disconnect the muscle tube (9) as follows:
     (a) Use a counter WRENCH - STANDARD to hold the fitting on the forward anti-ice valve (2).
     (b) Use a second WRENCH - STANDARD to disconnect the muscle tube (9) from the forward anti-ice valve (2) fitting.
   (6) Remove the feedback tube (25) as follows:
     (a) Use a counter WRENCH - STANDARD to hold the 90-degree fitting on the aft end of the feedback tube (25).
     (b) Use a second WRENCH - STANDARD to disconnect the feedback tube (25) from the forward anti-ice valve (2) fitting.
     (c) Use a counter WRENCH - STANDARD to hold the 90-degree fitting on the forward end of the feedback tube (25).
     (d) Use a second WRENCH - STANDARD to disconnect the feedback tube (25) from the forward anti-ice duct (20), and remove the feedback tube (25) from the engine.
   (7) Remove the two bolts (24) that attach the vent tube-hose (23) to the bracket (22) on the forward anti-ice valve (2).
   (8) Move the vent tube-hose (23) out of the removal path of the forward anti-ice valve (2) and temporarily secure the vent tube-hose (23) with a TIE WRAP(S).
   (9) Optional procedure: To get a better access to the strut (18), and the strut (11), remove the High Pressure Turbine (HPT) Active Clearance Control (ACC) Wye Duct (Ref. AMM TASK 75-21-10-000-803). You can also remove the "SEGMENT SHROUD 5" to obtain better access to the V-band clamp (14) on the forward end of the forward anti-ice valve (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-24-01-000-801).
   (10) Remove the nut (19) and the bolt (21) that attach the strut (18) to the forward anti-ice duct (20).
   (11) Move the strut (18) away from the ears on the forward anti-ice duct (20).
   (12) Open and remove the V-band clamp (14) on the forward end of the forward anti-ice valve (2).
NOTE: If difficulties are found when the forward V-band clamp is removed, keep it open and remove it with the forward anti-ice valve (2).
   (13) Open and remove the V-band clamp (13) on the aft end of the forward anti-ice valve (2).
   (14) Move the forward anti-ice duct (20) in the forward direction as far as possible.
   (15) Optional procedure: If you need more clearance to remove the forward anti-ice valve (2):
     (a) Remove the nut (29) and the bolt (26) that attach the strut (11) to the aft anti-ice duct (10).
     (b) Carefully move the strut (11) away from the ears on the aft anti-ice duct (10).
     (c) Move the aft anti-ice duct (10) in the aft direction (as far as possible).
   (16) Carefully lift the forward anti-ice valve (2) off of the engine.
   (17) Remove and discard the E-seal (15) from the forward flange of the forward anti-ice valve (2).
   (18) Remove and discard the E-seal (12) from the flange of the aft anti-ice duct (10).
