A. Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC system 1(2).
   (4) On the ANTI ICE section of the panel 25VU:
  • make sure that the ON legend of the ENG1(2) pushbutton switch is off.

4. Procedure
Subtask 30-21-49-210-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection/Check of the Engine Air-Intake Ice-Protection
   (1) Examine the anti ice valve and make sure that:
  • The anti ice valve and its attach fittings are in the correct condition and is satisfactorily clean.
  • The electrical connector is correctly connected and is in the correct condition.
   (2) Examine the electrical harness to make sure that it is clean and is in the correct external condition.
   (3) Make sure that the electrical harness has no:
  • Wear
  • Signs of overheat
  • Scaling of the insulation
  • Damage that can change its properties.
   (4) Make sure that you do not find damage and signs of leaks or cracks on the duct.
   (5) Make sure that the black coating of the duct is not damaged (scratches and missing coating on the bracket are permitted).
   (6) Make sure that you do not find damage and signs of leaks or cracks on the motive-pressure regulation line.
   (7) Make sure that the clamps are correctly installed.
   (8) Make sure that the clamp mounts have no cracks.

   (2) Close the right thrust reverser cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040):
