Installation of the Bottom Case Drain Hose/Tube Assembly
WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Installation of the Bottom Case-Drain Hose/Tube Assembly
(1) Remove the protective covers from the bottom case-drain hose (5), the hydraulic filter assembly and the union in the hydraulic pump.
(2) Loosely connect the bottom case-drain hose (5) to the hydraulic filter assembly. Do not TORQUE the coupling nut at this time.
(3) Loosely connect the bottom case-drain hose (5) to the union in the hydraulic pump. Do not TORQUE the coupling nut at this time.
(4) Install the center mount clamp (25) as follows:
(a) Remove the bolt (10), washer (15) and nut (20) from the band on the center mount clamp (25).
(b) Open the band on the center mount clamp (25) and put the bottom case-drain hose (5) into the hole in the insert.
(c) Put the band on the insert and install the bolt (10), washer (15) and nut (20).
(d) Make sure that the center mount clamp is installed at a distance of 12.30 in. (312.42 mm) below the flange of the suction hose/tube.
(e) Make sure that the center mount clamp and hoses have a minimum clearance of 0.40 in. (10.16 mm) from the CFMI hose.
(f) TORQUE the nut (20) to between 90 and 75 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.85 m.daN )
.
(5) Make sure that the bottom case-drain hose (5) is in the correct position.
.
(7) Remove the container.
