Subtask 29-13-38-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
   (2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (3) On ground service panel 198CB, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.
   (4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position on access door 195BB to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir.
   (5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at engine 1(2).
   (6) Make sure that the fan cowl door is open.
   (7) Make sure that there is a COVER - BLANKING on the adapter assembly (10) (suction hose side).
NOTE: The COVER - BLANKING prevents the flow of hydraulic fluid when the adapter assembly (10) is connected to the pump union.

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the HYD section of overhead panel 40VU in the cockpit, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.
   (4) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
   (5) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
   (6) Put the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the suction hose adapter assembly (10) connection to the hydraulic pump to collect the remaining fluid.
4. Procedure
Subtask 29-13-38-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Self Sealing Coupling of the Engine-2 Pump Suction
   (1) Remove the COVER - BLANKING from the hydraulic pump union.
   (2) Install the adapter assembly (10) on the hydraulic pump:
     (a) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 900 and 800 lbf.in (10.17 and 9.04 m.daN ) T.
   (3) Remove the COVER - BLANKING from the lower end of the suction hose and the adapter assembly (10).
   (4) Connect the suction hose to the adapter assembly (10):
     (a) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 900 and 800 lbf.in (10.17 and 9.04 m.daN )

D. Operational Test
   (1) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir (
Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (2) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
   (3) Do an operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002)
   (4) During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks from the connections.
   (5) Make sure that the level of hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
NOTE: There must be between 12 and 14 liters of hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir. This is to prevent a decrease in the level of the fluid in the reservoir because of defective bleeding.
5. Close-up
Subtask 29-13-38-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (5) Close left fan-cowl door 447AL (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040).
