Installation of the Engine 1 Pump Suction Quick-Disconnect Half-Coupling
WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Installation of the Engine 1 Pump Suction Quick-Disconnect Half Coupling
(1) Remove the blanking covers from the port of the fluid disconnect panel and the upper end of the suction hose. Hold the suction hose up, this prevents a flow of hydraulic fluid.
(2) Install the coupling half (5) on the upper end of the hose.
(3) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 10.17 and 9.04 m.daN (75.00 and 66.67 lbf.ft )
.

(3) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 10.17 and 9.04 m.daN (75.00 and 66.67 lbf.ft )
. NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the coupling half (5) when you torque the suction hose coupling nut.
(4) Connect the hose coupling half (5) to the fluid disconnect panel and fully tighten the coupling by hand to the stop. B. Operational Test
(1) Do an operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-00-710-001).
(2) During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks from the coupling half connections.
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do an operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-00-710-001).
