F Servo-Control Actuator Eye-End ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the two threads of the eye-end (6).
   (2) Install the nut (7) on the limit of the inner thread of the eye-end (6).
   (3) Install the lock washer (8) and key washer (9) on the inner thread of the eye-end (6).
   (4) If the eye-end (6) of the elevator servo control does not have grease nipples, make sure that you are in one of the next conditions:
  • The servo-control actuator eye-end is new.
  • The servo-control actuator eye-end has 0 flight cycles since the last inspection.
  • You know the number of flight cycles since the last servo-control actuator eye-end inspection (refer to SB 27A1186 for the related indications).
   (5) If the eye-end (6) of the elevator servo control has grease nipples (regreasable roller bearing):
     (a) Attach a GUN - GREASE to each grease nipple of the eye-end (6).
     (b) Lubricate the roller bearings on the eye-end (6) of the elevator servo control with Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) until the new grease comes out.
     (c) Remove the unwanted grease from the bearings.
   (6) Install the eye-end (6) on the servo control actuator (10) with the same number of turns recorded on the removal task.
NOTE: The pre-adjustment range between the centers of the two eye-ends of the servo control actuator must be from 410 mm (16.1417 in.) to 416 mm (16.3780 in.) with the elevator set to the neutral position.
     (a) If you replace one servo control, make sure that you refer to the other servo control for the installation procedure.
     (b) If you must replace the two servo controls, make sure that you replace them one after the other (not at the same time).
   (7) Engage the key washer (9) in the servo-control fitting. Make sure that the key washer (9) is fully engaged on the servo-control fitting.
