3. Job Set-up
Subtask 25-65-35-860-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that ceiling panel 261BC is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-002).
4. Procedure

A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) If the aircraft registration number (ICAO) is changed, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 25-65-00-840-001).
Subtask 25-65-35-420-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Installation of the AIM
CAUTION: PULL THE TOGGLE SWITCH BEFORE YOU SET IT TO THE "ON", "OFF" OR "ARMED" POSITION. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER.
   (1) Make sure that the toggle switch (9) is set to the OFF position.
   (2) Make sure that the O-ring seal (3) is in a correct and serviceable condition.
NOTE: You can use the O-ring seal (3) more than one time. It must be replaced after 5 years when you do the servicing of the battery.
   (3) If you must install a new O-ring seal (3), use the AIPC 25-65-35-01-010 O-RING SEAL FROM THE IDENTIFICATION-MODULE SERVICING-KIT (3).
   (4) Apply Silicone base Grease-General Purpose - - (Material No.
03JBA1) to the O-ring seal (3) and put it in position on the AIM (4).
   (5) Install the AIM (4):
     (a) Carefully put the AIM (4) in position and make sure that the aircraft on the label (6) points in flight direction.
     (b) Install the screws (5).
     (c) TORQUE the screws (5) to between 0.055 and 0.045 m.daN (4.87 and 3.98 lbf.in ) T.
   (6) Attach the wire lanyard (7) to the aircraft structure (2) and install the screw (8).
   (7) Set the toggle switch (9) to the ARM position.

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the ceiling panel 261BC (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-400-002).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

B. De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
