B. Get Access
(1) In the aft cargo compartment:
(a) Do the special precautions before work on the offwing escape-slide systems (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
(b) Do not close this/these access panel(s):

(2) In the passenger compartment:
(a) Remove the passenger seats in the area of the emergency exit(s) as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(b) Remove the emergency exit hatch(es) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-000-001).
(c) Remove these cove light panels:

B. Get Access
(1) Do the special precautions before work on the offwing escape-slide systems (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
(2) Remove the passenger seats in the area of the emergency exit(s) as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(3) Remove the related cove light panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
(4) Remove the related upper sidewall panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-000-001).
(5) Remove the related lower sidewall panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001).
(6) Remove the related overhead stowage compartments (Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-41-000-001).
(7) Remove the emergency exit-frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-803).
(8) Remove the air conditioning duct(s) as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-010-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 25-62-43-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE LOCK PIN IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN THE REGULATOR VALVE ASSEMBLY OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR. THIS SAFETIES ALL COMPONENTS OF THE INFLATION SYSTEM IN OPERATION AND PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL:

DISCHARGE OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR
DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE SLIDE

WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

A. Removal of the Flexible Control Assembly 5000WM/5030WM (5001WM/5031WM)

Flexible Control Assembly ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) In the aft cargo compartment at FR47:
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the knurled sleeve nut (2).
(b) Carefully loosen the knurled sleeve nut (2) and remove the collets from the cable joint.
(c) Disconnect the flexible control assembly (1) from the release cable assembly (21).
(2) In the passenger compartment:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (3).
(b) Remove the pin (4) and the washers (5) and disconnect the flexible control assembly (1) from the bellcrank (6).
(c) Remove and discard the related lockwire and loosen the conduit adjust nuts (7) and (8).
(d) Remove the nut (11), the bolt (9) and the washer (10).
(e) Remove the nut (13), the bolt (12) and the flange (14).
(f) Remove the used sealant from the flange (14), the bolts (9) and (12) and the nuts (11) and (13).
(g) Remove and discard the related lockwire and loosen the bracket attach nuts (15) and (16).
(h) Remove the nuts (19), the screws (17), the washers (18) and the clamps (20).
(3) Remove the flexible control assembly (1) from the aircraft structure.

A. Removal of the Flexible Control Assembly

DISCHARGE OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR
DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE SLIDE

WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the knurled sleeve nut (13).
(2) Carefully loosen the knurled sleeve nut (13) and remove the collets from the cable joint.
(3) Disconnect the flexible control assembly (1) from the release cable assembly (14).
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pin (5).
(5) Remove the castellated nut (4), bolt (6), washers (3) and (8) and bushings (2) and (7) and disconnect the flexible control assembly (1).

(6) Remove and discard the related lockwire and loosen the conduit adjust nuts (12).
(7) Remove the bolts (11), the washers (10) and the flange (9).
(8) Remove the nuts (17), screws (20), washers (19) and clamps (18).
(9) Remove the flexible control assembly (1) from the aircraft structure.
