A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the forward cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the opening of the forward cargo-compartment door.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on the control panel of the forward cargo-compartment loading system to tell persons not to use it.
Subtask 25-54-11-860-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the forward cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the opening of the forward cargo-compartment door.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on the control panel of the forward cargo-compartment loading system to tell persons not to use it.
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the forward cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the opening of the forward cargo-compartment door.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on the control panel of the forward cargo-compartment loading system to tell persons not to use it.
(4) Make sure that the upper Y-guide is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-52-46-000-002).
Subtask 25-54-11-865-054-A (1) Make sure that the forward cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the opening of the forward cargo-compartment door.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on the control panel of the forward cargo-compartment loading system to tell persons not to use it.
(4) Make sure that the upper Y-guide is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-52-46-000-002).

Subtask 25-54-11-910-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Do an inspection of the partition panels (1), (2) and (3) of the forward cargo compartment.
(2) If necessary, repair the partition panels (1), (2) and (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-200-024).
(3) Do an inspection of the sealing strips (10) on the partition panels (1), (2) and (3) for damage.
(4) Make sure that the sealing strips (10) are not missing.
(5) If necessary, replace the damaged or missing sealing strips (10):
(a) Remove the damaged sealing strips (10).
(b) Clean the surfaces of the new sealing strips (10) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) Apply Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) on the surfaces of the sealing strips (10) and bond them in their correct installation position.
(d) Make sure that all the sealing strips (10) are installed without clearance.
(6) Make sure that all the studs (8) are correctly installed into the washers (9) and the lock washers (18).
(7) If the studs (8), the washers (9) and the lock washers (18) is (are) missing, do the missing fastener inspection (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-300-001).
(8) Do an inspection of the adjacent aircraft structure for damage.
(9) If the adjacent aircraft structure is damaged, repair it.
(10) Make sure that the contact areas of the panels on the adjacent aircraft structure are flat.
(11) Fill the clearances or the holes with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) and make them flat.
(12) Make sure that the contact surfaces continue to be flat when the sealant is applied and dry. If necessary, make them flat.
(13) Make sure that the placards on the replaced or repaired components are in the correct position and in good condition.
(14) If necessary, install new placards (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-007).
(15) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(16) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(17) Examine the decompression panels (20) and (21) as follows:
(a) Make sure that the decompression panels (20) and (21) are in their correct position.
(b) Make sure that the seals of the decompression panels (20) and (21) are in the correct condition.
(18) If necessary, replace the decompression panels (20) and (21) and/or the seals of the decompression panels (20) and (21) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-68-41-960-001).
(19) Examine the decompression panels (20) and (21) for cracks and other damage.
Subtask 25-54-11-910-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do an inspection of the partition panels (1), (2) and (3) of the forward cargo compartment.
(2) If necessary, repair the partition panels (1), (2) and (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-200-024).
(3) Do an inspection of the sealing strips (10) on the partition panels (1), (2) and (3) for damage.
(4) Make sure that the sealing strips (10) are not missing.
(5) If necessary, replace the damaged or missing sealing strips (10):
(a) Remove the damaged sealing strips (10).

(9) If the adjacent aircraft structure is damaged, repair it.

(19) Examine the decompression panels (20) and (21) for cracks and other damage.

(1) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) If necessary, remove the damaged seal (9) from the partition panels (6), (7) and (8).
(3) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with the the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(4) Replace the damaged seal (9) on the partition panels (6), (7) and (8).
(5) Make sure that the placards on the replaced or repaired components are in the correct positions and in good condition.
(6) If necessary, install new placards (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-007).
Subtask 25-54-11-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) If necessary, remove the damaged seal (9) from the partition panels (6), (7) and (8).
(3) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with the the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(4) Replace the damaged seal (9) on the partition panels (6), (7) and (8).
(5) Make sure that the placards on the replaced or repaired components are in the correct positions and in good condition.
(6) If necessary, install new placards (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-007).
B. Installation of forward cargo-compartment partition FR24A
(1) If you removed the protection panels (2), install them as follows:
(a) Install the supports (3) on the partition panels (1) together with the screws (4).
(b) Put the protection panels (2) in their correct installation positions.
(c) Install the protection panels (2) on the supports (3) together with the screws (5), the washers (7) and the nuts (8).
(d) Tighten the screws (4) and (5).
(2) Install the partition panels (6), (7) and (8) as follows:
(a) Apply a thick layer of Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) on the seals that are around the partition panels (6), (7) and (8).
(b) Install the partition panels (6), (7) and (8) together with the studs (5).
(c) Install the cover strip assies (4) together with the studs (3).
(d) Install the cover assies (2) together with the studs (1).
(e) TORQUE the studs (1), (3) and (5) to between 0.060 and 0.055 m.daN (5.31 and 4.87 lbf.in )

Subtask 25-54-11-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If you removed the protection panels (2), install them as follows:
(a) Install the supports (3) on the partition panels (1) together with the screws (4).
(b) Put the protection panels (2) in their correct installation positions.
(c) Install the protection panels (2) on the supports (3) together with the screws (5), the washers (7) and the nuts (8).
(d) Tighten the screws (4) and (5).
(2) Install the partition panels (6), (7) and (8) as follows:
(a) Apply a thick layer of Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) on the seals that are around the partition panels (6), (7) and (8).
(b) Install the partition panels (6), (7) and (8) together with the studs (5).
(c) Install the cover strip assies (4) together with the studs (3).
(d) Install the cover assies (2) together with the studs (1).
(e) TORQUE the studs (1), (3) and (5) to between 0.060 and 0.055 m.daN (5.31 and 4.87 lbf.in )
.NOTE: When you tighten the studs you will hear a click. This is a sign that you used the correct procedure to tighten the studs. This click is not a sign that the correct torque value is applied. The applicable torque value must be between 0.055 and 0.060 m.daN to get 0.040 to 0.060 m.daN (measured on installed lining panel), because of the compressible connection.
B. Installation of forward cargo-compartment partition FR24A
(1) If you removed the protection panels (4), (5), (6) and (7), install them as follows:
(a) Install the supports (13) on the partition panels (1) and (2) together with the screws (12).
(b) Put the protection panels (4), (5), (6) and (7) in their correct installation positions.
(c) Install the protection panels (4), (5), (6) and (7) together with the screws (14) on the supports (13).
(d) Tighten the screws (12) and (14).
(2) Install the partition panels (1), (2) and (3) together with the studs (8), the washers (9) and the lock washers (18).
(3) TORQUE the studs (8) to between 0.060 and 0.055 m.daN (5.31 and 4.87 lbf.in )

5. Close-up(1) If you removed the protection panels (4), (5), (6) and (7), install them as follows:
(a) Install the supports (13) on the partition panels (1) and (2) together with the screws (12).
(b) Put the protection panels (4), (5), (6) and (7) in their correct installation positions.
(c) Install the protection panels (4), (5), (6) and (7) together with the screws (14) on the supports (13).
(d) Tighten the screws (12) and (14).
(2) Install the partition panels (1), (2) and (3) together with the studs (8), the washers (9) and the lock washers (18).
(3) TORQUE the studs (8) to between 0.060 and 0.055 m.daN (5.31 and 4.87 lbf.in )
.NOTE: When you tighten the studs you will hear a click. This is a sign that you used the correct procedure to tighten the studs. This click is not a sign that the correct torque value is applied. The applicable torque value must be between 0.055 and 0.060 m.daN to get 0.040 to 0.060 m.daN (measured on installed lining panel), because of the compressible connection.
