A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the forward and/or aft cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the opening of the applicable cargo-compartment door.
   (3) Make sure that the warning notice is in position at the applicable control panel of the cargo loading system.

A. Preparation for Installation
F Control Box ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the screws (6).

B. Installation of the Control Box
F Control Box ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Put the control box (5) in correct installation position.
   (2) Install the washers (7) and the screws (6).
   (3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Connect the electrical connectors (1) and (2) to the receptacles (3) and (4).

C. Preparation for the Test
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
   (2) Lower the latch element of the XZ-single latches 32.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

1.On the cargo compartment floor:
On the cargo compartment floor:
  • Lower the YZ-latch on each door sill latch.
  • The YZ-latch moves down.
  • Power is supplied to control panel 2020VU1.
2.On control panel 2020VU1:
In the cargo compartment:
  • Set POWER ON/OFF switch 5MY to ON.
  • POWER ON/OFF indicator light 7MY comes on.
  • Power is supplied to the forward cargo conveyance controls.
3.On control panel 2020VU1:
In the ball mat area:
  • Push joystick 4MY to the IN position and hold it there.
  • The roller of each transversal power drive unit turns in the load direction.
  • Release joystick 4MY so that it moves to the neutral position.
  • The roller of each transversal power drive unit stops.
  • Push joystick 4MY to the OUT position and hold it there.
  • The roller of each transversal power drive unit turns in the unload direction.
  • Release joystick 4MY so that it moves to the neutral position.
  • The roller of each transversal power drive unit stops.
4.On control panel 2020VU1:
On the cargo compartment floor:
  • Push joystick 4MY to the forward position and hold it there.
  • The roller of each longitudinal power drive unit turns in the forward direction.
  • Release joystick 4MY so that it moves to the neutral position.
  • The roller of each longitudinal power drive unit stops.
  • Push joystick 4MY to the aft position and hold it there.
  • The roller of each longitudinal power drive unit turns in the aft direction.
  • Release joystick 4MY so that it moves to the neutral position.
  • The roller of each longitudinal power drive unit stops.
5.On control panel 2020VU1:
On control panel 2020VU1:
  • Set POWER ON/OFF switch 5MY to OFF.
  • POWER ON/OFF indicator light 7MY goes off.
  • The power supply to the forward cargo conveyance controls is stopped.
6.On the cargo compartment floor:
On the cargo compartment floor:
  • Raise the YZ-latch on each door sill latch.
  • The YZ-latch locks in the fully raised position.
  • The power supplied to control panel 2020VU1 is stopped.
For aft cargo compartment:

7.On control panel 2020VU2:
In the cargo compartment:
  • Set POWER ON/OFF switch 5MY to ON.
  • POWER ON/OFF indicator light 7MY comes on.
  • Power is supplied to the aft cargo conveyance controls.
8.On control panel 2020VU2:
In the ball mat area:
  • Push joystick 4MY to the IN position and hold it there.

  • Push joystick 4MY to the AFT position and hold it there.
  • The roller of each longitudinal power drive unit turns in the aft direction.
  • Release joystick 4MY so that it moves to the neutral position.
  • The roller of each longitudinal power drive unit stops.

  • Set POWER ON/OFF switch 5MY to OFF.

   (3) Install the sidewall panel in the forward (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-003) and/or aft cargo compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-003).

   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Close the forward and/or aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
